A Talk With Cartoonists Terry Anderson & Angelo Lopez About Cartoonists Rights Network International
Cartoonists Terry Anderson and Angelo Lopez had a conversation on the Cartoonists Rights Network International and the threats that political cartoonist face around the world from authoritarian governments, religious extremists and other threats.
Terry Anderson is a professional cartoonist and caricaturist. For more than fifteen years he produced comics and illustrations for The Glasgow Herald and for over two decades was coordinator at the Scottish Cartoon Art Studio.
A former student of The Kubert School of cartooning, Terry is a member of the Professional Cartoonists’ Organisation (UK), France-Cartoons and Cartoon Movement. He previously served on the executive committee and ultimately as President of the Scottish Artists Union, the trade union for all visual artists working in Scotland.
He is frequently asked to broadcast, speak publicly and lead workshops on the subject of cartooning. In 2022 he received the Prix Gérard Vandenbrouck in Saint-Just-le-Martel; the first non-Francophone to be awarded the honor, and in recognition of his work with Cartoonists Rights where he has served as Executive Director since 2019.

I met Ray Billingsley about a decade in Philadelphia. Great interview
Good call to remove Kamala wearing a 'flag' suit, that's a uniquely MAGA thing to abuse the flag.
I am not from USA nor care about elections. Good cartoon, cool steps and actually helpfull tutorial. Thanks!
the load of Socialistic left wing drivel that is being spewed by you is amazing. We have just spent 4 years being abused by the Biden admin, a group of people that weaponized the DOJ against anyone that disagrees with them, and you are worried about Trump. You are 4 years to late and blind to the fact the the Biden admin has been the textbook example of abuse of power. People that lied about the health of the president, they used their friends in big tech to suppress any descent, the list goes on and on and yet you are foolish enough to worry about Trump's intentions. What I see is that the left is so far out that they have no Idea why they fail because they continue to fail. and your cartoon is just another example of scare mongering.
And yet Trump wasn't the one attempting to silence his political opponents by deplatforming them Or putting them in jail
Cry then life gets better once you see the neext four years after you take the blindfold off
Y'all need help! Like SERIOUSLY need help. All this talk of being a tyrant or shredding up the constitution and all that crap. He could have done so in his 1st term but he didnt. He often diffused federal power and religated more of that back to the citizens of the country. The man is VERY reluctant to use authority or send folks to die for his ego... Y'all need SERIOUS help as we did have such an issue over the last 4 years.
Amazing as always.
Hi Angelo, it’s nice seeing your Artworks on here! I sure miss S.A.C., a lot. It’s Nana, do you remember me? I used to go to the club from 2004-2008 I think.
Very informative talk about creativity and how a story can be narrated to a child to talk about something like a messy room, healthy food etc etc.
It’s my honor to talk to you! I enjoyed our conversation and learned a lot!
Thank you for inviting me, and taking the care to craft these questions and have this conversation!
This was great! Thanks for putting this together.
Love it! Thanks for sharing your process, Angelo.

Great talk, guys.
Wow! What a great interview! I enjoyed the insight into the craft, the challenges, politics, Mississippi, and the marketing/self-syndication aspects. Thanks for sharing.
Clay asked us to comment on your conversation. So far video is country music.

Thanks so much for posting this! I didn't realize there were so many stages to making a cartoon. It was especially interesting to see how you combined the old-fashioned techniques with the modern. I feel like I learned some things to help with my painting--I'll be thinking about black spots, for sure. I really liked hearing about other artists too! If you feel like doing more videos, you could do a series on cartoonists that you like. I'd watch! 🤗

Thanks for creating this video. It was great to be part of the march. Like some other introverts, I'm mad enough at Trump that I want to protest.
Thanks again for coming to speak to the class... It was great!
Thank you Angelo Lopez! This is beautiful!
What a lovely place. It's sad to know it's closing. Thanks for sharing this.
Delightful. I also like to illustrate bible verses. But don't like to use humans in them.
Nice! I hope i can join your cause.
Always like to see local artists display their creative works. So glad to see you promoting interest for the public enjoyment. Thank you, Angelo.
