เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 4 ก.พ. 2019
My name is Joel and I'm a self taught jewelry hobbyist based in Helsinki, Finland. I created this channel to showcase my one of a kind jewelry and to share every step of the process in creating them. My day job is a mobile developer but I am very visually minded and creating anything by hand is my passion. I'm also quite musical and like to play my piano on free time.
I like to spend time in making the videos and I wish you find them entertaining and helpful! I love making stuff in general and to share what I have learned, so please comment on videos or contact if you have any questions. As I am still a beginner in TH-cam, I kindly ask you to like and subscribe if you enjoy my content as it would help me very much. Also check my Instagram for more!
Thanks! :)

Making Silver Stud Earrings | Jewelry Making
I have wanted to make these kind of stud earrings for a while now and decided to make a nice making-of video about them. I'm using some ready cut silver discs that I them hammered into a dome shape. I drill a 1mm hole in the center and engrave some patterns inside with a tiny .7 mm bur. The .8 mm earring posts are cut and melted from one end to a ball that locks inside the dome when soldered. If you have any questions about this video please comment or contact me elsewhere! :)
I've just recently got myself some liver of sulfur gel that I use here to darken the earrings. I then polish them and coat with renaissance wax.

Making Hammered Copper Earrings | Jewelry Making
มุมมอง 9K4 ปีที่แล้ว
Welcome to my channel! Here I'm making some hammered copper bar earrings. The shape of the earrings is made by softening (annealing) and hammering a thick copper wire. Filing and sanding is also required to get a smooth surface. To get a nice red coating on the surface the copper must be heated with a torch until red hot and quenched quickly. This patina is also very durable and with additional...

Making a Silver Ring With a Cubic Zirconia Crystal | Jewelry Making
มุมมอง 6444 ปีที่แล้ว
Making a sterling silver ring with a bright cubic zirconia! Do you like it? This is quite an easy way of creating the ring if you only have smaller gauge wire. I used 16 gauge wire here and by looping it, you're able to create a nice sized ring with a nice detail. The crystal setting is made from the same wire with a little hammering and filing. Making Spinning Flower Earrings | Jewelry Making
มุมมอง 2664 ปีที่แล้ว
Making some cute copper earrings with spinning flowers. Cut the pedals from copper sheet and hammer them to shape. I soldered them together but you can also pass this step for some more spinning action. The flower stems are cut from basic copper wire and ends are balled by melting the tips with a torch. Shape the stems to look natural and add some nice beads for some extra flare. Thanks :) Chec...

Making a Copper Leaf Pendant | Jewelry Making
มุมมอง 8K5 ปีที่แล้ว
Enjoy this video of how I make a copper leaf pendant! It is cut and hammered from only one piece of copper sheet, so it's quite simple and a beginner friendly project. Additional texture is carved with a rotary carver, but that is not mandatory. Making a Copper Flower Pendant | Jewelry Making

Making of the copper flower pendant. This is an easy way of making a pendant without having to know how to solder or having the supplies for it. The pedals are cut from copper sheet that are then hammered to shape. You will need some thin wire to bind them together through some drilled holes. You can then wrap a holed swarovski crystal with the same wires together. I hope you find this useful a...

Vielen Dank für das sehr schöne Video! Ein kleines Kunstwerk! Abonniert !
I would like to know aall the equipments used in this video for my school project.Im searching copper crsftsmanship but in more like a studio enviorenment and I m desperate lol, is there a website or a video explaining the process and introducing the equipments I can benefit from
Hi, you can do much with some wire, pliers and a rotary tool. A good resource is Andrew Berry's youtube channel: www.youtube.com/@Atthebench Same equipment and processes used in silver jewelry can be used for copper.
What solder do you use with copper I am new at this thanks.
Hey. You can use normal silver solder or copper solder.
Making hammered jewelry ❤
What thickness was the copper please?
Hi, I think the thickness was around 0.8 to 1 mm
@@joelpollanenjewelry6268 Many thanks for reply Joel
first comment (sorry for disturbing you)
I make leaves become copper, You make copper become a leaf. Love your channel, keep on doing!!!
Thank you! :)
Oh that was really helpful! Excited to try one! Thanks 🍃
Can I get a hammered look without actually hammering copper? I have copper scales on my knife and would like to do that. Is my only option a dremel with a round bit?
Hi! The only other method that comes to mind is to dremel with a round bit.
@@joelpollanenjewelry6268 thank you, appreciate your input
cool video
Dope
I'm trying to engrave each symbol of earth, fire, air & water from Avatar. It's a work in progress. Can you tell me what solder did you use to connect the round copper to the main component? did you use silver solder? is it possible to use a soldering copperwire also? that thin copper solder wire they use in electronics. thanks.
I used pieces of copper solder wire for this. Not sure if its the same kind you have though.
Creative ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks! :)
whatd you use to fuse the copper together
Hi, I use copper solder :)
I do this with old copper pennies, makes nice discs for all kinds of jewelry. *Worth every penny.*
These look great! Can I ask what the egg is for?
Hi and thanks Phil! :) Hard boiled eggs are used as a cheap and easy way for oxidizing/darkening the copper. They contain a lot of sulfur which is released when boiling and mashing. The copper is then kept inside the bag with the egg mash to let it react with the sulfur.
@@joelpollanenjewelry6268 Interesting! You learn something new every day. Thanks.
Your creativity in the pieces you make, and video editing always blow me away! 👏👏👍🏻
Thank you so much! :))
Beautiful! Where do you get your ear wires?
Thank you! I have ordered these hooks from ebay as with many other jewellery supplies. :)
hey there :-) thanks for sharing what you do and how you do it. Like everything I´ve seen so far!! still a question, please: did you wrap something around your borax cone?
Hi Claudia! Thank you so much! :) I have the borax cone wrapped in the paper it came in, so it has some protection as it is quite crumbly.
Great to the point video, and really entertaining editing! Sub here bro 🤙🏼🤙🏼 Beautiful finished pieces
Aw, thank you so much! :)
I subbed cause you deserve it and still deserves more subs.Keep making awesome vids 😍
😊 Thank you so much! I appreciate your support!
Very nice ring! I've wanted to toy with the idea of making rings with rivets for when soldering is not an option, and love how flush you made it! Also nice edits for the video process
Thank you! Go ahead, it was fun to try that. :)
What do you use to polish after the heat coloring?
I polish with a green polishing compound I have with some felt wheels. I also used an agate burnisher and coated the pieces with renaissance wax.
@@joelpollanenjewelry6268 thanks for the reply!
