Well hello there my fellow fan spotters! Today i present to you my National 56” F-EY149 ceiling fan. This is the fan which actually started my TH-cam channel a while ago. This fan was hanging and served us for a longg time. (18 years to be exact) but still performs way better than modern crompton fans and newer KDK M series fans and Panasonic fans. This is a 56" KDK B56XR Ceiling Fan. Looks to be in pristine condition. Logo kinda seems off but for somewhat reason, in speed 5 the fan trips. I didnt have time to diagnose.

I have KDK ceiling fans 29 years old back from 1995 But rusty a little bit in blades 😅😅 If I decided to replace them, definitely I will choose KDK But I hope they still make such a high quality fans that last for a long time
they don't. The newer KDK M and N series cannot compete with the original Matsushita KDK fans. Newer ones are also made in Malaysia with low-quality materials, whereas the outstanding Matsushita are made in Japan with very high-quality materials. But the choice is yours; newer KDK fans are more stylish and far safer than older ones. However, in terms of reliability, older KDK fans come out ahead.

one of the first KDK's which have MADE IN CHINA and the SLS logo...its a legit one, I have one under the model designation B56XK but made in Japan and no SLS logo

thats happening because the stator is jammed with the rotor amd possibly seized bearings.. disassemble the motor and see the condition.

this is most likely a fake fan from china. Real B56XK dont have lines like that, most ive seen, KDK logo medalion looks too light colored too But better than modern crompton and panasonic 😂😂😂

@@FanTV474 my national F560BM and some other matsushita electronics were all from duty free (F560B(M) is the correct model no. of the EY-149 sold in UAE, SL and DR)

I was a UMS 260/C which the motor wobbles but its been like that since installation back in 2007
you should better do a checkup. Usually if it wobbles like that, the shaft bolt gets stripped from the down rod and it becomes more fragile than before
@@FanTV474 did tried tighten it when I changed the capacitor but that bolt seems tight

Yes, I know I did a bad job repairing the fan. Thats because, we need this fan to be fitted urgently. This is just a temporary fit. I will be getting a bearing puller and some bearings. And also, I ran out of oil, so i added Red Grease.
