Karma Chameleon played on a Mechanical Organ

Blauwtje was used to collect money on the streets from the early 1920's - street busking with the Draaiorgel is a big part of Dutch culture. It started life as a '49 Key Marenghi Organ’, but within the first few years of its life, it was totally rebuilt! When Organ Builder Carl Frei invented ‘Bourdon’ pipework in the 1930’s, it was the ‘must have sound’ and many Organs were rebuilt including Bl...

Beautiful hand turned trumpet organ built in Germany. Playing on bellows with an 'easy to wind' round wheel - spare handle included. Over two hours of well arranged traditional paper roll music included from marches, waltzes and foxtrots. Veneered wood casework is in "as new" condition with no scratches or marks. Four nearly new pneumatic tyres on its original attractive cart, with two draws fo...

Playing Chatanooga Choo Choo - a song by Glenn Miller. This beautiful hand-turned organ was built by the world-famous Verbeeck firm in Belgium. This organ was built for a private collector and has spent its life tucked away in a house. Its condition is like new and the voicing is superb. We bought it in 2021 and take it to indoor and outdoor venues across Cornwall. More details at www.unique4en...

The organ is named 'Trevithick' in tribute to...

The rat stuck to the mallet hitting the drum.
Giant music box with all the bells and whistles.
Will you make it available to stream?
This sounds really good on the mechanical organ. Wow.
How do you make the punch card stack for the song?
Excellent!
Totally sounds like an RPG on the SNES
Absolutely amazing and HIGHLY impressive! Hearing covera like this always astounds me.
That is tremendous!
Muito bom 🤓
The middle person must be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
Rhythm Heaven Epic - Remix 5 (Played On A Mechanical Organ)
AMAZING 🎉❤🎉❤🎉
❤
Christie McVie should be getting a kick out of it wherever she is. 😊
Lmao physical midi files
2:46 Did I spy a cornish pasty hiding under the drum?
I feel like I'm at the circus
A MIDI sequencer made of wood.

Any chance we'll see more of these amazing covers in the future? Not to get demanding, but as a suggestion, I've always wanted to know what the song "Dixie" by Harmonium would sound like on an instrument like this. Big kudos for actually making the cards, I know MIDI conversions are common but it's nice to see the entire original system running. Perhaps one could adapt a laser cutter to make the cards semi-automagically.
Si los organilleros de la ciudad de México sonaran así, los gringos no se quejarían tanto por el ruido. xD
What is the name of the sheet music the conductor is holding?
This is pretty dope,
Мирово....
I want to hear Africa by Toto on this organ.
WOW!
I'm 27 and I like wurlitzer carousel and fair ground organs they have a beautiful sound
Cool. But can it play rush e?
Wow that’s amazing! Even the conductor is marking time! Love this song anyway and it’s so nice to hear it played like this. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you ❤🇬🇧🏴
What a time to be alive.
The younger generation could never appreciate this
Says who? I’m 19 and this is awesome!
@@ENDER_Music do you know the song
@@nomusicrcYeah, I’ve heard it a couple times before, but I can still appreciate this glorious instrument no matter what song it’s playing.
On the contrary, 15 year old me is enjoying this! It really brings back memories of listening to the radio on trips to whatever song happened to come on. Maybe think twice before making a generalization about a diverse group of people.
@@awesomeeliam7882 so you know this song
Boy George would love this
Fantastic Organ😊
This is wonderful. Just wonderful. The double knock before the chorus. . . wonderful!
i will tell you what puts me more in awe. It is not this century old mechanical machine having been restored. It is not the person or persons punching out the cards to play this song. It is the fact that humanity somehow came up with the idea to build this, to entertain other people. I think that is a much better way to spend your time on this planet than to try and bomb another people off the face of this planet.
how can people, as in human beings,,, not a specific race or kind but just people, human beings.... who are capable of coming up with this kind of stuff also be crazy enough to think that they should bomb other people off the face of this planet.... anyways, that is just an opinion. Wonderful apparatus. Wish i had the expertise to build one.
Make music, not war!
Humans can get a lot of stuff done when they aren't trying to kill each other over stupid stuff.
The music is wrong to avoid copyright infringement.
There are legit ways to do cover pieces.
Wonderful! it looks like it wanna travel across the Atlantic!
Well done sir!
I got goosebumps when the chorus started.
That’s incredible
Incredible!
This warms my geeky little heart. I like odd musical instruments and automation both.
Why does that tune make me think of the Marx brothers?
i wonder if people back then hearing a song like this would think it was stupidly simple or if they would be blown away by it because its too advanced. or maybe it would just blend in.
I also wonder this
Thoughts like that go through my head all the time.
Need a hot tub time machine to find out
hard to say, alot of organs had punch cards songs that were already well known tunes, but by now they are well forgotten
Great tune!
Nice sounds nice! What music roll is that!? I have Not heard this one before!
Aaaaawwwwweeeeesssssoooommmmeee
