S62 Oil Pump removal
After last time and removing the lower timing chain cover, needed to remove the lower sump, this exposed the oil pump, so before the upper sump cover can be removed the oil pump has to be removed from its location.

Continuing from the removal of the upper timing chain covers, this is removing the lower cover, this means also starting to remove parts of the sump, the lower oil pan section. Once this is off then I have a decision to make, do I remove the cylinder heads just to have a look inside, or do we leave them on, and not need to change the cylinder head gaskets, which are about €1000. So in this video we decided to send away the odometer to Bergvill FX in Norway to fix the broken cog in the odometer, as if we tried and failed to fix it ourselves it could be a €1600 min bill (brand new odometer, if I can get one) Bergvillfx.com is the company that fixed the broken cog and enabled the Porsche to pass its annual inspection.

I love these lights and am in the process of fitting the full set front and rear. The wiring seemed straight forward for the "Modern" style duel indicator set up, but it's not working properly. all the indicators are flashing together - front and rear when I use the turn signal left or right. And the left side top indicator is not lighting at all. All the other functions seem to work with no problem. Brake lights are good, double reverse lights are good. Parking lights all function normally. Do you have any suggestions? I didn't see in your video the lights functioning.
@philiptworek9306 hi, I have not fitted the front yet (I have the wipac front led fitted at present), but have plans to fit the matching fronts from GLOHH. Mine are functioning fine at present and the front ones look a direct swap so no need to mess with the wiring like the rear ones. I have the modern setup also where both indicators on the rear flash and I have two rear fog lights/indicators. I had previously fitted a led relay for the indicators from wipac, have you swapped the relay for the indicators? Sounds like there is a cross of wires and the only thing I can think is the hazard switch, but I have not changed that on mine.

Yep sorry not the ix only a basic 318d. I would think the process is similar across the ix just have to push out the drive shaft

Note its not 250nm its only 210nm, but still dont think it should be loose.
That is the loosest fitting axle spline I have ever seen.
Tell me about it, I thought they were loose, need to check if its the cap that's worn (hoping) as then I can keep the axels as spares (with new caps) if not scrap man will be in heaven.
@@JJs-Garage you can put a lot of anaerobic thread locker on the spline and get by for quite a while.

Pain in the Arse to fix
Hoping it’s just a loose nut, but will find out for sure when I get my new 9/16 spanners that let me unbolt it to examine the destruction.
Did it solve the water leak? I have similar issue
I think the issue was the gasket between the vacuum pump and water pump but could not be 100% sure. Changing the pump has resolved my leak issue.
So do they flash when you unlock and lock the vehicle? The light start up sequence is interesting. So that only happens when you switch the lights on?
Yes they work like normal indicators (though I have 2 not one as before each side.). Startup sequence is only when turned on.
How are you liking them one month in? Great video btw
Loving them so far, they are bright in the daylight, and still love the start sequence.

Hi, car currently has Nolden v1 led lights and Wipac front side/indicators. Glohh only do the rear ones at present.
Update, Glohh are releasing front lights shortly, I dont know if its just indicator and side, or all three front lights. Depending on the price maybe another video will be produced.
As a update, I have brought the front lights. So expect a fitting of them video soon.

Hi, I had wipac previously on the vehicle, the kit actually says inside on the. instructions that its not including a new relay as normally defenders have had a led conversion and its saving resources by not including one, there is space in the box packaging for the relay.

They are a very nice design. Agreed about the Glohh website. It's all about long complicated sentences and not much about what the lights actually do.
