Day 4 at SCH for Harlan. We have put most of the basic fundamentals on him the last three days and today he gave me the feeling he needed a job. So we gave one to him and boy did he show up and show out! First day riding with another horse, was a little worried but figured it out in about 5 minutes. @@prestige2000rider I wish I could find another saddle like this but I have only found one other in existence. And It was so ruined it wouldn't be worth purchasing. It's a Ralph Shimon from WY I would give a lot to find another built like this. It's a solid wood/rawhide tree like a wade but not a slick fork. It has swells. Iv never seen another but those two.

Ariel Thoroughbred/Hanoverian 20days since her start Sat and Sundays off plus the day I took for Christmas. So 15days under saddle in all since our Coltstarting Clinic on Dec 15th She is heading home today, 9 days before her 30day mark due to pickup time. What a day! The team and I had a blast at Heather Ridge Farm coltstarting and problem horse clinic. We started 2 colts and restarted one older appaloosa after 6years. Each horse very different with its own needs! In 1.5 hours or less we were able to have each horse over a tarp, saddled, and first ride w/t/c! We went at each horses pace and got them to a place where they were excited for what was next! Was a humbling experience and was great to again get to be a student of the horse! #horsemanship #horsetraining #horsemanshipclinic #coltstarting #sethconleyhorsemanship #coltstartingclinic
