Welcome to one of the first videos I filmed when launching my TH-cam channel. Throughout my career I have replaced so many cam belts on these 2.0 litre TDI engines that they are now second nature to me. Sadly, juggling the complexity of this job and trying to filmI accidentally left out some key information to be able to present a step by step tutorial on how to do it yourself.
However, in my opinion, it still is an interesting video which can illustrate exactly how the engine is kept in time and exactly what you’ll find in this common set up. I will ensure that if I get another replacement cambelt on this same engine I’ll be sure to do an updated video with everything you need to know from start to finish.
