Marina Beach Chennai is the world's 2nd longest urban beach. The beach is located in the eastern side of Chennai along the Bay of Bengal. Almost 50,000 Visitors are attracted towards the beach per day and the count will increase in case of weekends and during holidays. There are many tourist spots nearby marina beach,
1. Anna Memorial - Former CM's Anna Durai and M. Karunanidhi Memorials are on the shore of marina beach.
2. M.G.R Memorial - Former CM's M.G.Ramachandran & J.Jayalalitha Memorials are on the shore of marina beach
3. Chennai Light House - You can witness the aerial view of Marina beach from the top of the tower
4. Vivekananda House - Place where Swami Vivekananda once stayed.
5. Sri Parthasarathy Temple

It is very hard to walk on sands for long way to reach beach from main road. Family members specially childrens are facing prob to walk long distance sands. I think this beach is not perfect for foreign tourist.
