Have you had to replace the radiator yet? I cannot find a new radiator for our 1970 F-600 330ci. On LMC truck all they have is ones for F-100, F-250 and F-350.
@@terryjaster4771 That's probably why we had it in our recommendations 😀 To the town of Agua Fria rode a stranger one fine day Hardly spoke to folks around him, didn't have too much to say No one dared to ask his business, no one dared to make a slip For the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip…
Dear Sir: How is she for dozing? How well do you think a similar setup would work for large industrial snow removal work with a tripable releif snow blade? Would maneuvering, visibility, backability and gear shifting be cumbersome in a snow application? Would a single wheel ( not duelled up ) give better traction on paved surfaces,? Thanks in advance for you time. MWK from Ohio. Peace! ☕️👍🤓👍☕️
I cut my teeth on 71 Series Detroits both 6-71 and 8V71's in Astro 95's when I started pulling wrenches for a company named Luby Leasing back in 72'. Loved the Detroit, when I went to Ryder in 74' most of the guys there did not like the Detroits so those were funneled to me for repairs.
Calvin Crews, it's an 8V71 (318). It has an exhaust problem, Astros normally had a good muffler system, They were quieter than most trucks that had 8V71s.
I almost thought it sounded like a 12v71 but I don't think that would even fit in there. After thinking back to when a local bus company had a few MC-8's (amongst other buses) they had one that needed an exhaust and it sounded identical to this.
genial
We had one for 5 years. It was reliable. Then we traded it for a 4900. That was a beast.

The power wagon name plate was dropped in 1980, this is a power ram.
Looks like it could dig out stumps without trouble.

Gary what does the t/a stand for is it a318
A 318 is a natural 8V71. TA means turbo and aftercooled. TTA means tailored torque aftercooled.
Drop a caterpillar or Cummins engine in it !
Sounds like old gal has exhaust leak. Still love those old trucks I had two of them, often wish I had one back
Probably a 8V92 or 8V71 Detroit Diesel engine that loud motor roars

The 12v71 was available in the astro and titan 90
Simple and effective!
Sweet tractor. I had an LPG version. I never knew they could have a cab on them. Wish mine did.
