Some Amateur Welding and Selling My Show Lambs
Hello Folks, welcome back to Farm Life SD, in today's video I did some welding on some trailer movers that I’ve been making and I sold my sheep at the local sheep buying station
I am a sixth-generation farmer from northeastern, SD. My Great Great Great grandfather came to the United States in 1872 and homesteaded 1 mile northeast of our current farm.
I started the Farm Life SD youtube channel to educate my classmates on the day-to-day operation of the farm and to show them where their food comes from. Almost 4 years later I didn't expect to be where we are today but there is no sign of stopping so thanks for watching and don't forget to like, comment, and most importantly subscribe if you haven't already

    Una pregunta , porque dejas caer el paquete con el corte de la cuchilla avía arriba ,

    • @dobermaniak
      @dobermaniak ปีที่แล้ว

      There may be Three reasons. 1. Easier to insert the forks. 2 self-loading wagons set to collect cubes placed in this way. 3 Hay catches moisture, smaller surface area,

      @@dobermaniak bueno creo que tienes tus razones para dejar caer el paquete con el corte hacia arriba , yo lo dejaba caer hacia abajo el corte , por el vagón que lo agarra la cadena mejor , saludos desde SPAIN

    Oh, that 530 can pull a bailer, just have to take it easy. I had one, and, it could pull a New Holland 273, small square baler if it had to. Nice tractors. Nothing runs like these old two cylinders.

    When I would like you talking fill us in as to how fast they are going, width of swath, field details. For instance it is very curious to me why the windrows the pull-type is on are so bunchy. Most windrows in clean grain are very smooth.

  • @craigsimon935
    @craigsimon935 ปีที่แล้ว

    Nice editing but I could do without the music and more explanation. It is nice seeing a pull-type - not many of those around anymore.

    Nice video Grant! Hoping you get some rain. Animals look like they're doing well for the hot, dry weather. Best of luck to you for your 4H exhibits and competition. Your sister did a great job with the camera. Nice of her to help. To be honest - after you told her she didn't have to "film every breath", I thought you made her ride on the trailer at 5:18 - but then I saw her get out of the truck. Good to hear you both laughing! Enjoyable video. Well done!

      Yes we have been getting rain. The crops were looking very tough there for a while but between Friday night and Sunday morning we received 4.4” of rain. So that should make the crops grow for a while. I didn’t do much recording but I had to clean out all the creep feeders today after that rain event. Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it

    Quite the herd of good looking heifers! How many cows and heifers are you running? You said Dairy pasture, do you also milk cows or just run Beef?

    • @farmlifesd5722
      @farmlifesd5722 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks, we have around 250 cows and hold back about 40 heifers each year to artificially inseminate. We call it either the dairy cow pasture or the milk cow lot since it is the pasture right down the way from our old dairy barn (where we calve out our heifers). We sold out of milking in 2009. I was only 6 and didn’t get too involved with those. Glad you enjoyed it and stay tuned for more
