Have sheet vinyl in my house from the early 90s and the only reason I need to change it is because it won't go with my new bathroom stuff. The production is still solid. Vinyl planks, so many stories of them warping and coming up, connectors cracking etc. Who needs the hassle?

Did you use a primer before putting the feather finish down, I want to do something similar but I am not sure if I should use primer.

I am about ready to do my huge basement of like 2000 finished feet. Concrete is smooth and not really unlevel. It has an open 45ft run area. Would you suggest floating or glue down? I don't want the walk on pillows feel or click clack sound. Glue?

Stop the bullshit.. lie 2 pet stain guarantee. The urine goes straight to the back of carpet since triexta is Basically water proof. Creates a host of problems cause the fibers won't stain. No primer over the vinyl flooring?

I had true old school 1981 linoleum on my floors.. had to remove it ONLY because the design was outdated and the wrong color for my intended decor.. and bc it didn't extend into the dining area (where there was CARPET!)... I LOVE old school linoleum. Soft to the bottom of the foot, the design goes thru the material (not just on top) .. and held up all these years! I looked into the newer Marmoleum, but too commercial looking and no real 'white' colors. 😢 So very sad & disappointed. I don't want tile, marble ir anything that has grout or lines.. I'm not into 'wood looking' floors.. I had epoxy done.. HUGE mistake. The company I used sucked. I didn't do enough research. 😢 Now, I'm forced to put in the 'wood look' floors I never wanted and now have to wait bc I threw away $6k on the epoxy mess. 😡 I wish they'd bring back true linoleum. 😔

Sheet vinyl smells TERRIBLE- just like a vinyl shower curtain. I should know I just had some installed two weeks ago and it still smells. Yes, it is made by Mannington. BIG REGRET.

Mr. Advertiser guy stop selling smoke! I have been doing this for 40 years Nylon 100 percent is more resilient than smartstand and for decades. Smartstand is new. Not even tested yet. Read comments below !! Should I say any more. He said it's stain resistant right! Throw some oil containing products on your smartstrand carpet. Tell me what happens!! He knows. Mr. Advertiser guy with all do respect give the full on. Both good and bad of a carpet fibers. Not just what you waNt to push!!! Come on man!! Don't mislead!! Your a good salesman you speak well! They did that in one of my rooms and I really resented finding it out when I bought my house. All the mold, odors, and crap from 25 years was in there. I suggest you clean it first to prevent contamination. You don't know what is in that old carpet. I don't care if it would cost more, the dirt that's in the old carpet is going to cause the new carpet to wear out faster.

Hi Gary, My cat pees on carpet. The pee doesn't so much leave a stain, but rather the ODOR is the problem. So would smart strand carpet still smell like pee after cleaning with a spot bot? It looks to me like the liquids on your stains went through the backing, so I'd bet some pee would still be on top of the moisture-proof padding that's under the carpet, in which case it would definitely still smell. Any experience with this? Anyone?

Hello and thank you for the video. I want to install vinyl sheet flooring in my basement as well. The question that I have I do you use some sort of vapor barrier or sub floor before installing the flooring or do you use just use the adhesive directly on the concrete floor then place the vinyl sheet on top? Well I had the changing times 12x12 I got to put it in the bedroom I can order the same one and a bigger size to do my living room hallway this wonderful gentleman had the smaller sizes so very affordable He's shipping he's not really making much money because he's just being kind but I don't know whether to go with the new beginnings and just have a different color for the living and haul I know that the speckled ones are great even though this color looks really light the fresh start I already know when it's speckled like that with pets with the traffic area I already can attest to the fact that it doesn't seem to pick up any dirt you don't see fur balls and animal pukes it just comes right up it's just seems to resist stains and dirt. But I haven't had it trimmed yet cuz I was going to put it in the bedroom and I'm just wanted the side so I could hopefully in my one bedroom apartment I have carpet and laid out by before Christmas so I can go ahead and furnish my new little place and hopefully my feet pain will go away cuz hard for us suck

0 I don't think I've seen your video but I've seen some others now I'm a wonderful gentleman that gave me a great deal and I have had a 12x12 for the small one bedroom I just rented where my feet are killing me but unfortunately I've waited 6 months The 12x12 is either one or two changing times Marriott which is the wonderful speckle gray which is good out there but the 12x12 will fit good in the bedroom so I'm stuck I need to order another piece I don't know whether to order the same one as I have the option to get new beginnings as you know is going to be thicker so new beginnings too but he only has the light shades like Melody and oak ridge! Not sure that will be too light for traffic living hallway area? So far I'm just glad that they have this out there I just waited too long to get it installed is it okay to have two different colors I mean I can still get changing times too and a bigger size. But I believe new beginnings would be you know a heavier better carpet what is your opinion
