It has been a very hot minute since I've done any filming, let alone uploaded any videos. This one was recorded back in May and I have only just got around to editing and uploading. So hopefully you do enjoy it.
I went on the search for a hidden paradise in the way of a few waterfalls. The topographic maps that I was looking at said there should be 4 unnamed waterfalls on this particular creek and off I went, searching.
Being as unfit as I was, it did take a little longer than I expected and I wasn't sure if I was going to make it to the last waterfall while there was still light.
Luckily for me, I made it, it was one of my favorite waterfalls of the day and I still had a bit of time up my sleeve to make it back to the car before the sun had completely set.
I really hope you enjoyed this video, I feel I have been out of practice but keen to get back out for some adventures. I do have some epic ones on my list of trips to do and I really am itching to get out and cross them off.
If you're keen to check out my Snake Catching channel, you can take a look here: @SnakeCatcher
I try and upload a bit more regularly with that channel as it is a bit easier for me to get a few videos recorded within a day compared to a single video on this channel.
Anyway, thanks again! I look forward to reading your comments.
Cheers
Shaun

    When I go camping, I like to be self sufficient, away from people (apart from me Wife or friends I camp with) and amenities. I still like a few luxuries, like a good coffee, so always interested how others do it. I may be leaning towards the micro plunger style, as there’s no rubbish to pack and take with you. However you’re then packing a single use item, where your burner cooks dinner too. 🤔

    • @OutdoorsOvernight
      @OutdoorsOvernight ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I like everything I carry to have multi use where possible. Good coffee is something I don't like to skimp on now. I pack it all back out and compost what I can.

    • @jimmys_jimny
      @jimmys_jimny ปีที่แล้ว

      Honestly who cares where it’s made. If it was made in Australia it would be harder to get and 5x the price Nothing wrong with made in China it’s just about quality control and Alton have shown they have good QC processes It’s still an Aussie owner and you’re still supporting the Aussie economy rather than getting it from overseas directly or supporting a huge company like Anaconda/BCF etc Supporting Aussie made is great when you can, but don’t forget the owner is still an Aussie bloke in Brisbane working his ass off, much better to support him than the owner of spotlight retail group or other corporations

      Hey mate, thanks for the comment. I'd like to explore the Upper Nepean one day. Some of the images and footage looks awesome. While I didn't mention this spot, it isn't a hidden secret. I've decided to limit the amount of location information off my videos as I've seen what can happen when it does. My "Chasing Hidden Waterfalls" is one example. Even though I found evidence of others when I did the hike, the property owner closed public access to it. Although any good paddling guide has all the info. The 3rd Edition of The Paddler's Guide to NSW has so many good paddles described, including this one. @@OutdoorsOvernight yep exactly . even more harder to explain when its a car camping spot . We always make a point of leaving a place better than we found it , by cleaning it up or getting rid of some weeds or fire scars , out of respect for the natural earth we share this planet with . She can do with all the help she can get in this day and age

      Love your work mate. If only more people put the same effort in. But at the same time, we wouldn't have to if everyone knew and followed the leave no trace mantra.

      Lots of reasons why it went the way it did unfortunately. But it is looking promising as it's slowly regenerating.
