I just bought one from someone. The hardware and frets are rusty and the string action is high even when I screw the post all the way down to where it can't go anymore but its still playable. What do you think could be wrong? I see your bridge is flat with the body but mine sits in more.
Bridge should be parallel with the body. If your Bridge is all the way down, and your string action is still too high, than u need maybe a neck shim. Just follow the TRAIN method, and you can do it. T-R-A-I-N... • T- Tune guitar. • R- Check and adjust neck Relief. • A- Check and adjust the Action. • I- Check and adjust the Intonation. • N- Noodle away on your perfectly set-up

bitte die Saiten erst entspannen, und dann den Halsstab spannen - sonst geht dessen Gewinde kaputt. Das Gleiche gilt für die Sattelhöhen einstellung.

tip: since your piezo was broken, you should have replaced the piezo entirely and not re-soldered it because more than likely it will just break again. also, after soldering apply epoxy cement to the wires on the piezo to help keep the solder joint from breaking off.

The piezo was not broken. The connection to the piezo was. Piezos are manufactured then wires are soldered to it. The piezo would be "broken" if it no longer sent a signal.

I just got my RG220 back after it being in family storage for 20 years. It's in need of a deep cleaning and some repairs so this video was very helpful. Also, it was enjoyable to watch with just the natural sounds of doing the restoration. Great video!

I bought an Alesis Nitro and the HH pedal was deal on arrival - the switch needs replacing - no help from Alesis support it's not like this though - has a small board attached. Very frustrating to encounter this on brand new stuff.
Where do you find replacement piezos

Eigentlich drückt man beim einstellen der Halskrümmung die Saite am ersten und letzten Bund. Es sei denn du hast ne Gitarre mit Null-Bund. Trotzdem gutes Video 👍
Ja, genau. Zwischen Nut und den erste "Fret wire" (wo ich den Capo gemacht habe) ist für mich der erste Bund. :) Danke

Thanks man. It's a cheap crowning file, just search on ebay crowning file. It's cheap, but for me working really well. 👍
I prefer to do A truss rod check/adjustment with the strings under tension prior to any fret work
Of course, it's physic. If the Truss Rod need to be loose, you can leave under tension, but to tighten it, loose the string half or one turn. 👍
Chances are if were here then we don't know how to do this kind of work and therefor do not know what materials your using. I know your using a soldering iron and solder what is the other stuff glue?

Great video, lemon oil is a great cleaner for open grain fret board,but it is just that,a cleaner,so the next step after the clean with lemon oil,is to condition the fret board with a little drop of linseed oil,that will seal the grain,and stop any ingress of dirt,twice a year is recommended Cheers

Did you change the Plastic nut to a tusque one.makes a big difference.Another tip is to adjust the pickup pole pieces so they follow the curve of the fretboard.

Thanks man. I believe, it´s not so important. If you can control the temperature, it's more than enough. With 350-370 °C you are on the safe side.

Bei 100-120 Grad sollte eigentlich nicht passieren. Ich habe schon oft mit meine Kamado gesmoked, und bis jetzt ohne Probleme. 🤞 Bei höhere Temperatur könnte schon evtl. pasieren. Bei höhere Temperarur könnte man ein 19cm Backform/Tortenform Boden benutzen. 😉

Ganz normale Lemon oil für Griffbrett, funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Metal Teile habe ich mit WD40 gereiningt.

Great instruction if one has some previous understanding. I liked the wooden "Grenzlehre" for pickup height. (It's "Tolk" in Swedish, couldn't find a good English word). Lots of work getting the bands all level :). Liked Your playing better than the repeating background loop ;)
