Storing ammo cans in direct contact with cement floors or up against walls is a really BAD IDEA as cement leaches out moisture and corrosive gas that gets trapped against the can and can lead to corrosion. You should stack your cans on wooden pallets providing and air space of around 3 to 5 inches to allow moisture and gas to clear. Likewise, keep a few inches of space away from walls to prevent mildew on sheet rock and corrosion of the cans. Finally be sure to limit can stacks to 3 or less. Too tall and the stack can become unstable and a .50 cal. can of 45 ACP falling from just a few feet can break bones.

Yea, I had a nice stash of ammo. Plus had a nice collection of firearms. Unfortunately I lost all of it in a boating accident. Damn shame. I was devastated. Hopefully one day I can stock up again

One .50 cal can will store 300 .308 in 20 round box or 1000 5.56 in 50 round box or 1000 9mm in 50 round box or 2500 .22 LR in 100 round containers (CCI plastic) I built a wooden shelving unit that houses 35 cans (5 shelves of 7 cans) for my shtf ammo which i started gathering quite a few years ago. 1500 or 5 cans .308 (900 168 gr hpbt/600 147 gr ball) 15000 or 15 cans 5.56 62 gr ball. 5000 or 5 cans of 9mm (3000 124 gr XTP/2000 124 gr ball). 25000 or 10 cans of .22 lr (5000 CCI 32 gr HP Stingers/20000 CCI 36 gr HP). ((46500 for those that count)) Each can also has a desicant pack in it. My training/hunting/range/practice ammo and ammo in other calibers is also stored on shelves but not in ammo cans. Some is stored in mags others in original box and some in mtm 100 count boxes. Enjoyed your video.

I heared a guy that knows the owner of 2A Warehouse and the owner told him since China is no longer selling nitro cellulose to Nato countries that ammo will triple in cost in the very near future... He also said that 2A Warehouse is no longer making 308 so they can focus materials on manufacturing 5.56... which obviously is a very bad sign of what is coming... Nice pile BTW 🤤

I buy most of my ammo in bulk and it comes in the metal ammo cans packed with desicant.👍 I end up using the old cans to store other gun stuff in and I have one dedicated to the old desicant packs.👍 I do wind up with 5 different sizes of cans as I do buy in bulk for 5 calibers, but they are a versatile mixture of sizes.

I believe you mentioned it a few times in this series. I also have a braced PC Charger, which is the 6" pistol version, very complimentary pair of 9mm's, add a Ruger SR9c pistol (which I did😁), now you have ammo & magazine interoperability across 3 complimentary weapons.👍 Oh yeah, they make a 35 round Ruger mag, I opted to go that route since I do not own a Glock.
