1974 to 1982..we had a 47ft trailer and a small brick room at the Globetrotter Boat And Trailer Club..right across the road from Oatman, rd. And 1/2 mile from Holiday Shores. It's still there but condos all around it.....And Dad and I would have breakfast at The Burnt Bun...Great Biscuits n Gravy
Great expose of early Bullhead City . I moved there in 1985 and its pretty much the same now . Some road expansion and more homes and business growth southward towards Ft. Mohave but still not much change as compared to the massive changes made from the time portrayed to present. And why does that dude who's narrating this keep making creepy gasping sounds throughout the video ? Kind of spoils the presentation .
Yes , funny to hear Hastings in this video ,which is now Harbor Frieght tools ! Funny about the only store or building I recognize in this video is where Family Dollar is now at 3rd ,and main ,lol!! Thank you so much for sharing all this history ,would like to get the book ! God bless !
Went to school in bull head in 1960 1,2 and 3rd grade in 1 room. School was on top of a mountain/ large hill in case the dam broke the children would be safe.
My name is Veronica and I have been voted in as historian of the Globetrotters Boat & Trailer Club at 1701 Highway 95 in Bullhead City. It also has its own little street called Trailer Way. The post office goes by the Highway 95 address. There is another address that we all use for our individual lots. Anyway, I am reaching out because I would love to purchase your book, "Memories of Bullhead City" for our club. I am also trying to find old pictures of the club property as well. From what I understand, you are a researcher so I am hoping you can tell me where I may be able to find old images of this property and the surrounding areas around it. I was thinking maybe the library? I would truly appreciate any advice you can offer. I tried emailing, but it was sent back as undeliverable. you so much!
There is alot of development The Old General Store was owned by Andy West Miannay who I think was your neighbor. The Old General Store was torn down 2 years ago. Crazy Andy now has the oldest building in the Townsite which he is restoring the Old Townsite Mission.
When I was A kid back in the 90s My Mom & Dad rented a mobile home just off Clearwater! I still remember the address it was 607 Stahlman Dr! I was going to a school at Diamondback Elementary I feel like tearing up because I remember being able to walk with my brother LITERALLY right down the street not even a minute away! We were at the Colorado River!😆 I dont know what time of year it was but the water levels of the river would always rise or fall... So crazy how you could walk in places were you normally are neck deep!😂My brother & I had a room themed of the Ninja Turtles & the Lion King was just premiering in theater were we would go to the Riverside Casino In Laughlin Neveda to watch Movies wich was only 15 minutes from Bullhead city! Crossing a bridge or take the small toll boats right into the Casino's!😆 This was back when the Flamingo Casino was still around my dad was a security guard there and he always took me to the Burger King on the River walk entrance! I grew up a few years of my childhood here I had spent holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas here i still remember the huge blow up Frosty The Snowman we had while playing NES Super Mario World & Street Fighter! I remember having birthday parties were your entire family was there!🤧 Why does getting older hurt sooooo bad! 😔 The fact is I miss the ones I loved who are gone in the wind! A message to my youth were all loved by someone and that someone or special moment could be gone just like that & become nothing more than memories!😣 EMBRACE THOSE MOMENTS!
Where are you living at now? Do you ever consider going back to Bullhead? Seems like since you have so many good memories in Bullhead City it might be nice to still live there.
@@yowsers6475 it's just not the same anymore if you Googlemap 607 Stahlman Dr its nothing but an empty lot... The house caught on fire I wish had money to build a new home there but im not that guy I'm barely making it I'm always looking for a different job to make more but California has made it difficult for the average family to survive!
love bullhead city and all of mohave county! mohave county is the 4th largest county by land mass, beaituful diverse landscape. so breathtaking. i cant wait to retire there.
