I Watched the BAD Universal Soldier Sequels!: Part 1
Did you ever wonder if those TV Universal Soldier sequels were any good? You didn't. You absolutely didn't...but I am going to tell you anyway! We will also look at The Return which sadly was a dark point in Van Damme's life.

Rip Torn's EVIL Performance! - Payday 1973
มุมมอง 217หลายเดือนก่อน
I tried to make another short video but failed once again. Something a bit different as I look at one of the most criminally underrated films of the 1970s, starring everyone's favourite hammer-wielding bad boy Rip Torn. This is Pay Day (1973).
When a Blooper Becomes Part of the Story... - Bottom Live 3
มุมมอง 1.9K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
The mystery of Bottom's fluffs (it is not what you think). A blooper that was so bad it became part of the play .... or was it? Here's a 'short' video from me guys where I look at the classic sitcom Bottom! RIP Rik Mayall
Norm MacDonald Vs Don Ohlyemer - The Strange Story of Dirty Work and Why It 'Works!'
มุมมอง 2.7K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Is Dirty Work actually good? Why did Don hate Norm? Did those prisoners grow up? Did Kattan own a doghouse? Who cares? Find out in this review/essay of Bob Sagat's cult classic Dirty Work starring Norm MacDonald and Artie Lange!
Some absolutely banging jokes in this one, not sure how you managed to get an hour's worth of material from this dreck, but it's a triumph that you did! Meme-worthy faces as well... I am always a sucker for dunking on bad movies, but in a way which actually examines them and explores their purpose, kudos! (The Matt Battaglia twist was Oscar-worthy, and I like how you cracked up at the "in this world just to suffer" joke, made me giggle even more)
Oh yes - expect to see Batt Mattaglia more often on this channel. Thank you as always mate, I’ll be sure to check out the Sweeties!! Want to plug your channel name? 👀
The THX Simpsons gag was top tier, well done. Fuck Grandpa Joe, he deserves nothing more than to be skinned with his own (probably stolen) false teeth. And holy crap Chris-chan should come with a jumpscare warning at this point On a more serious note I miss these sorts of movies about just terrible people, they're creeping back in ("Red Rocket" immediately springs to mind, holy hell that rules) and this looks like a good one. I'd also add that the scene with the fan also looks like it ties into the whole themes of the world: this guy sees a murder and uses it as a chance to get a leg up in the industry. Predatory, empty and kind of soul-destroying, chilling. Maybe that's part of why Dan is so done with life too in that moment... Great comparison to the "Taxi Driver" scene by the way!
Thank you as always buddy. FUCK GRANDPA JOE
Watched "Extreme Prejudice" last night, and there was an adorable story from Michael Ironside about the insanity of Rip Torn on the special features, he seems to just have been this force of nature in Hollywood.
He was sick in dodgeball
1:04:45 I’m not telling tales out of school or outing him or anything but ironically if you’ve read his book yk that acc did happen to him at age 7 (or not who knows) but I believe perhaps it did if you read his writing seems pretty real 😢normie, normie normie Rip the great old one
It’s interesting you bring this up, because I have heard about this. One day I want to remaster this video because I would like to read his book. For his sake, I hope that didn’t happen but Norm has literally gaslight me so much, I am convinced he was a character 24/7. Thanks for the view!
@@KeanuRhys01 thanks for the vid mate lasted me the whole morning- pls do some more norm ones
@@HenryRahh thanks mate means a lot :) I want to do a variety of films like megalopolis and emperors naked army marches on BUT I am thinking of doing a separate notes video on DW and even one on Don Olheymer because I may have not been harsh enough…
A sign of a great actor is the ability to blur the lines between real and fake.
I was actually just discussing The Young Ones recently, and now this gets recommended to me. Ey TH-cam, I know your tricks...
Often in comedy you'll do something unplanned on stage, say a line wrong, skip a bit or just completely flub the bit and you'll realise it actually works better than the thing you planned. So then the next time you'll do it the "wrong" way. I strongly suspect that these fluffs weren't in the script on the first day of the tour. They're either 100% genuine or they were genuine fluffs once and then got intentionally repeated.
Harry Hill often does a similar thing in live shows. If done well, it is still quite funny.
This knowledge of scripted fluffs spoilt it a bit to be honest. I guess they did their job to make it more memorable and funny, but I rather not have known.
Actually Bottom was more of a spiritual successor to the Dangerous Brothers/Filthy Rich & Catflap, both of which had major portions taking place in their homes.
@@OriginalNiceButOdd good point actually! Ade was set on fire in dangerous brothers and now can’t sleep on one arm because he threw so many punches in Bottom
In Edmondson's book 'Berserker!' he mentions the watch gag. It is something along the lines of: How do you ask a Northerner with no arms or legs for the time? Have you got the time on yer, cock?
Thank you! Another mystery solved!
Wow, Taffy O'Jones talks about his favourite bottom bit!
That’s right you ignorant English wanker! 😂
@@KeanuRhys01 OH NO, TAFFY O'JONES.
@@fremenondesand3896you got any more EXPLODING CARRROOTTTTS?
This is very similar to what The Play That Goes Wrong became
Go join a drama club and get involved with live shows. You'll find that yes scripted fluffs happen all the time, but, no show is ever exactly the same every night due to millions of factors. I've had missing props, audience heckles, forgotten lines, missed cues just to name a few. Some actors struggle if everything isnt perfect but the best ones can improvise and drag everything back on track and that makes every show unique.
I’m actually surprised about the scripted fluffs part. I heard they happened in the Mrs Browns Boys Live shows but I don’t care enough about that show to watch - the missing props must be a nightmare!
@@KeanuRhys01 It can be for actors that struggle to improvise. I've seen some just lock up and stop functioning. but some of the best moments in a show can happen when something goes wrong. the best way to see it in action is to visit a small amature theatre group and watch the live show with the script in hand. They never match. :)
@@scalaw4thank you mate :) I’d kill to have seen a copy of Waiting for Godot with Rik and Ade…
Whoo, he made number 2! Wait, that came out wrong. He made a number 2-- ah, fack it, you know what I meant. Really enjoyed this one - you seem a lot more confident, and the audio's a lot cleaner too; less peaking, less of a stark difference in volume between the main narration and your occasional sarky remarks. The Welsh representation joke was darkly funny. Good job overall! <3
@@twentywordsorlessYT thank you - in all fairness the number two joke matches the stupid juvenile humour of this show. Great to hear the audio isn’t shit this time :)
You got any other platform you're on? I despise communicating on Jtube .Feel free to update the comments ever couple decades or so guys ..
Just watch The Wrong Guy , and tell me it's not funny .
Of course it's good .80% of all the best Comedys were panned .Critics and the masses are idiots .
Great job !
Thank you! :D
Norm is God !
Thank you. Norm is dead.?
Thank you! Yes sadly Norm is dead, didn’t even know he was sick…
This was good! It was very funny in a Hbomberguy way at several points, especially the closing line (I mean that as a compliment, btw). I noticed that the audio kept peaking throughout the video, especially when you were doing LOUD ONE-LINERS, and like Josh said, it was a bit quiet. Other than that, I look forward to seeing what you do next (if you do another video) 😊
Thanks guys, that’s the highest compliment ❤️
I liked this, good job for a first video: well structured and clearly made with passion, it flowed nicely and I giggled a fair few times, it was all about a thing I had no knowledge of before hand. Convinced me to watch the film! Only major bit of feedback: It is a bit quiet.
Thanks mate means a lot ;) I 100% agree about the audio, I will defo improve this ❤
"Hmm, this is fun, interesting and made with passion: but he's mentioning Bob Saget and-" *cuts to THAT clip* "Nope, no notes.
