That looks SO COZY! Do you sell the pattern?
@@secretforreddit yep! One of my personal favorites ❤️ www.patternsforpirates.com/product/lumberjack-hg/
🎉🎉🎉🎉
Where is this fabric from?
@@jamialaprince6556 Joanns :)
This is my least part of using a separating zipper! Thank you for this amazing video.
Awesome thank you great information!! ❤
I have made these dozens of times. I always serge the hem edge AND press the 1" up and stitch hem. BEFORE stitching the seam. I do this of course on both legs. So when I finish the elastic using the serger I am finished.
Best overall discussion I’ve seen! Not too technical - that can come later….my projector should be delivered today. Can’t wait to dive in.
Solidarity on the sewing room. Stuff is just everrrrrywhere in here 😂
@@SewSeatheWorld I try my best, but I'm messy by nature lolol it's a constant struggle 🤣
Wow this was so informative for a novice …even 4 years later:) thank you 💜
Hi what kind of interfacing should be used
@@PEREZ0143 I use a lightweight fusible interfacing with standard flannel. If your fabric is heavier weight you might need a medium weight interfacing though.
How did you see the pockets on? Did you use a twin needle or just a zigzag?
@@jeniferalvarez2914 you could either, whatever you prefer to use.
@@PatternsforPirates1 Thank you! I also sent an email, but maybe this way I'll get a faster response. I'm doing the adult 3x high waistband option. What type of elastic do I need, how much and what size? Also, what size grommets are best?
@@jeniferalvarez2914 the cozy pants don't use elastic in the waistband, it's a yoga style with just knit fabric. The grommets are just what size you like the look of :) I tend to use the smaller ones I think they're 3/8" maybe.
@@jeniferalvarez2914 this info is tucked into the sewing supplies section in the tutorial for future :) it always tells you any notions you need for the pattern.
@@PatternsforPirates1thank you. I checked. It didn’t say the size of the grommets or that I didn’t need elastic. I checked 4 different places…😓 the listing, this tutorial, the pattern and pattern instructions. I’ve never made these types of pants without elastic. I thought I read that you could use elastic or grommets on the waistband.
Great video, thank you. Do you prefer a particular foot type or size with elastic?
@@JoeEngineersThings nothing special, just my normal universal foot ❤️
Can these be made with knit fabric?
Thank you !
Beautiful dress and fabric!!!! What projector do you use? I bet it saves so much time and energy! I’m really wanting one!
All these fabrics are gorgeous! Are these for a tutorial for the hooded blanket? I spent about 2 weeks looking everywhere for a pattern for an adult hooded blanket! I cannot believe it was under my nose this whole time! 😂 AND it has EARS! Another thing I’ve wanted to add to my hooded blanket if I ever figured out how to do it. So, as you can imagine, I’m beyond excited!
Givin off kindergarten young teacher vibes 😅😁
@@ECHO1152 I was a kinder teacher before I started Patterns for Pirates 😅
@@PatternsforPirates1 that's cool
Just made my first pair! Very very comfortable, and your video made assembly super easy. Great pattern!
Lumberjack?
Children’s blanket?
Thank you so much! I’m working on a performance costume and I WAYYY overshot my seperating zipper length and I was so worried about having to go out and get another one
❤❤❤oh I'm getting
has this been released yet?
It will release tomorrow ❤
Wow. I loved it in real time. I’m going to try this approach.
Thank you so much for making this vedio❤!!!!

She is so cute in her cute new dress 🧵🪡 … FIESTA 🥳
This is great! Thank you! 🎉
What if the pages don't line up like this? Mine was fine until half way through the pattern, then it went wonky?
@@carlyrowland1640 I would guess something happened with the printer, maybe reprint those pages... I always recommend not printing on the fastest/lowest quality to help too.
❤
Do you have any tips for sewing binding like this on thicker fabric like fleece? My machine struggles to sew through the multiple layers of thick seams. I'm using a Bernette b05 machine.
@@melmilford1859 my recommendation would be to pick a thinner fabric for the binding. Just find one that is the same color or a contrast you like. It makes it much smoother and our home sewing machines can only do so much ❤️
Thank you so much! Is it possible to do this with coil zippers?
This dress is really cute! Your way of doing the straps are the way I like to do it too.
That is so cute! I never buy woven patterns but I am considering it...
@@momofkings1 I always have preferred knit as well 😊 but every now and then I see a woven fabric I adore lol
You're too old for this kind of shitty content.... Grow up...
Amazing! ❤❤❤
So cute!!!
What is your suggestion for adjusting sleeve/shoulder elastic to be sure it fits?
How do you suggest adjusting shoulder elastic for fit?
GREAT tip for the booty curve!!!! 😊
Cute
What a fabulous video. Your technique was so helpful. It was the basting step that I was not doing that makes all the difference. Thank you.
Thank you for this video I’ve never sewed with foe and now I definitely want to 😁
What style is the bottom called?
@@shortshift327 I used the Vixen Bikini Bottom pattern
Do we need to do this if we just want to have it at capri length?
Okay, this might be my most favourite design in a *long* time from P4P!! I really appreciate how figure-flattering and size-inclusive this design can be worn. I can already see myself making some neck “ties” for a milkmaid look. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial as well - I’ll be buying this tomorrow 💜
Finally a peasant style dress that doesn't look juvenile. That is the only thing that holds me back from making them. ❤
that's adorable how you laught all along, because this idea is SO FUNNY ! I'm 42 years old, love dinosaures since I'm maybe 6 years old, and this is the most funny idea I have seen. growing up in Switzerland make me not eating dino nuggets, but I do not care, I am going to make a bunch of those for my nieces and nephews because they need it in their life ! thank you for this funny pattern and this oh so funny idea !
What kind of thread do you use? Do you use wooly nylon for lower looper?
Generally I use all purpose... Even in my loopers. It has always been stretchy enough for me so far. I do tend to use a stretch thread in my lower looper if I'm using my converstitch though.
Wait how come you stretch/break the elastic (on the unbasted side) at 7 min mark after elastic serged on? Is it breaking the serge seam ?
I thinks she‘s breaking the basting of the two fabric layers. You can see the stitches when she‘s serging the elastic on
@@rizzopat9892 I’m not sure tho because for that second side she didn’t baste it on she just serged the elastic directly?
@@rizzopat9892 maybe since it’s serged she’s just breaking the previous stitches that were holding the blue pieces together
