National NAGPRA Program
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 7 ต.ค. 2011
Welcome to the official TH-cam channel of the National NAGPRA Program. The National NAGPRA Program offers free on-demand training on a variety of topics for beginner to advanced NAGPRA practitioners. Since 2010, the National NAGPRA Program has produced videos, training sessions, and webinars.
Training Seminars
The National NAGPRA Program partnered with the National Preservation Institute to develop in-depth training on various issues related to NAGPRA implementation. Through a cooperative agreement, these online training seminars were developed based on in-person seminars designed to provide participants with practical knowledge and tools needed to support their NAGPRA efforts.
Training Video Series
The eight videos range from first-person narratives, program statistics, anecdotal evidence, and in-depth engaging coverage of the entirety of the law and its consequences.
A series of webinars on the new regulations are available at www.nps.gov/orgs/1335/events.htm.

Do you have a video like this about the recent update to NAGPRA from Jan 12th of this year? Would you ever consider being a guest on another show to discuss this?
A series of webinars on the new regulations hosted by the National NAGPRA Program are available here: www.nps.gov/orgs/1335/events.htm
How broadly does that part about receiving federal funding apply? When everyone accepted their covid stimulus checks, did that make NAGPRA apply to every person like it applies to museums?
Thank you for this important message, please show more info soon!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
Indians are from SOUTH AMERICA
Indians are from this whole north American continent not just South America, all the way from Alaska, Canada, U.S.A, Mexico, Central & South America all the way 2 the end of Patagonia. Everyone else, whites, blacks, Asian R living on an adopted land.
4:20 Peabody- "NAGPRA has forced us to do" "didn't know what they had" I find that very very doubtful. "Tribal people get angry" wouldn't the people making the argument for the insitutions if it was their family cemetery remains on display, being used for profit and "no idea what they had"? Nonsense.
Note: this video is from Mar 19, 2012. The video has a great detail of information but there have been updates with some details. Watching The Nuts and Bolts of NAGPRA Grants on National NAGPRA may help. th-cam.com/video/WzqauVeIa-I/w-d-xo.html
Informative video.
Glad you think so!
all museums are grave robbers,, and those who get involved are too,, it is the rape of our dead,, shame on you all.. The ancestors and spirits will continue to destroy you and your kin,, you will never recover while your also self destructing
B.S. totaly a dominate culture colonizing mind set,, all knowledge belongs to us,, we will take it by right,, You do not have a right to know, The people who's culture it is will decide what is honorable,,, The built museum on our stolen lands ,, no thank you your building themselves are disgraceful and disgusting horrid structures so we can dig up your family and display and dissect them,,, the build the a nice museum,,, The world and all it holds is your for the taking,,
The Cattail Eaters are Paiute (they are not from the Fremont Culture, they are not Red Haired Giants and they are not Viking), I don't think you would understand if you have never been to the Humboldt Sink area or talked to the Si-Ticutta people. Yes we are still around but Western culture would rather hide that fact. The history of my people is still being to told by our people and to our people. Until there is a clear understanding and acceptance by Western Culture of indigenous peoples cultural and traditional beliefs we will continue to be miss understood. And yes this is my culture and my people, and our history that traces back for millennia's and our traditional values do not include Western values (Picasso) and probably never will.
no one is an island Furthermore this concept is one of the big problems, perhaps the first, of what the US today has become in relation to the rest of the world an island inside another huge island - not good thing
you have no right to cram your toxic culture down our throats,,, your one world bull shit,, is colonialism,, superiority, go away,,
I think the true race and ethnicity of those human remains are Africans and white people are not but liars.
I would like to know the race and ethnicity of those human remains I think a lot of people would like to know that. So, what the fuck are you are doing hiding from the world.
