Although this movie was WAY off base with the facts (they had Bob Hoffman coaching Sergio, which he never did), Calum was good as Arnold, and the guy playing Frank Zane here has just about Frank's same voice and overall look. Sergio, Jr. did look a lot like Sergio (go figure), and they had a guy who was built like Bill Pearl, but a lot of the movie was not what actually happened.

As for people wondering who is the guy talking to Joe about next to win is Frank Zane

A lot of people say Arnold is being portrayed as dumb, but that's not true. Sure he might be a little slow but that's just because he's from another country coming all the way to America and speaking another language. My parents and most of my family are immigrants and they were like that too. But speaking in their native language and environment and they were as sharp as a knife. With time and effort they significantly got better at English and navigating American culture

God the acting in this movie holy shit. Oof, is this cringe and not just Arnold’s depiction. Yikes. This movie wreaks of the bodybuilding industry lobbying for Hollywood to make a movie about their modern day origins and it’s like all they could offer was a $2M budget and some D-Listers. Sorry boys but maybe just take some of those insane supplement industry profits and actually invest in a better movie.

I don't know what many of you are smoking. No offense to this actor but no, he didn't "nail it". Yeah he kind of looks and sounds like him but barely. The director knew that and hides his face like at 1:10 haha. Not to mention, Arnold's best asset aside from his body was his charisma, ever heard of it? What Pumping Iron and you'll see why he was bound to transition to movies. The guy never shut up in the documentary, but everything he says is funny or entertaining. Why does this movie exist?
