From what you can see it really looks special. I get a nice vibe. Because of the placement at the beginning of a sort of gated/walled off estate or something, I wonder if it was like a Gatehouse for the Groundskeeper.
Thank you so much for watching! Yes, I, too, get a good vibe from this place. Because of some brief road work, I actually turned in there and turned around. I wish it wasn't falling into disrepair. I believe there is at least another dwelling further in, unseen from the road.

We call them woodchucks where I live. Don't bring them up around cattle ranchers/dairy farmers - the holes they make lead to serious leg injuries on cows, so these ranchers tend to have more colorful names for these critters.
I understand completely! Our place was small. Just 2 acres. But we had great vegetable gardens, 3 types of berries, and flowers. Until he passed away. But I will tell you we could not stand those groundhogs (woodchucks)!! They would eat the blooms of the green beans, which made it very difficult to grow beans, sometimes. I don't really care for them now. I just watched them in my daughter's yard, and greated a video. 🙂 Thanks for watching and commenting!

How did the crust turn out? Never seen regular pie crust pressed instead of rolled so anxious to know if it made a difference. This is the same recipe I use . This pie is yellow but in my opinion tastes better than when using brown sugar. I prefer white sugar all the way. The cafe I worked in during high school during the late 60’s made them this way and it was a big hit with customers. They used chopped pecans only but I like mixing with a few wholes as well as the chopped. 😀👍
Years ago, I made my crusts for Apple Pies this way. It was fast and it works. I will say, it might be flakier when rolled out. Still good, though! I too, like using white sugar for my Pecan Pies. Thank you so much for watching!!

How much Milk/Creamer did you use? You left it out of your ingredients list. Thank you.
One cup milk.. One cup Self-rising flour.. One cup sugar..Melt one stick to 1½ sticks butter for bottom of 9x13 pan. Wisk together 1st 3 ingredients. Pour on top of butter. Spoon 2 cans Apple Pie Filling all over the top of dough. (Dough will be thin). Sprinkle generously with Cinnamon, and if you have it, Apple Pie Spice. Bake in 350° to 400° oven till brown as you like on top. Can also sprinkle top with extra sugar, as I did in video. I hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
