    Would you recommend the leather irons you’re using and what are they, 6mm?

    • @windisland
      @windisland 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, the ones I’m using are 6mm. 👍It might feel a bit wide for some, but I personally like the rough, rugged look it gives. Just a preference, but it works well for me! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask anytime🤓😊😊

      @@windisland thanks, 6mm stitching irons are all I use. I make my own secateur and tool holsters for my landscaping business and clients. I quite like the look of the ones you’re using compared to mine. I need to make a new knife sheath for a mora garberg my girlfriend has ordered for me as a Christmas gift. I’m thinking of wet moulding the 3mm veg tan leather this time

      I also melt bees wax into the leather after a piece is stitched - it gives the natural leather a really nice tone. I repeat the process twice a year to keep the leather waterproof

The attention to detail, from stitching to beeswax finishing, really highlights your commitment. Keep enjoying your leather crafting-it’s such a fun and creative journey!😄

    Hello! I purchased this pattern and it was fun to do! Lots of stitching!!!I used a rainbow thread from Tandy to do the lights so they look like multicoloured lights!!!

    FYI to anyone getting into leathercrafting, the needles are IMMENSELY sharp, and will slide into your finger down to the bone if you're not careful - so be careful :)
