How to rebuild a car door lock to fit a key
I bought a car without a key so needed to replace ECU, immobilizer and ignition locks. I couldn't find the things I needed plus the door locks at a reasonable price, plus this is a non remote unlocking Citroen C1 so it had a key lock for the boot. I decided to strip the door locks down and see if I could adjust the tumblers to fit the ignition key I got.
I couldn't find anything like this on TH-cam so I thought it might be helpful to someone.

Do you ever come across these and they are sealed units and you can't get the tumblers out? I have a friend with a 2011 peugeot partner van and i said i would rebuild his cylinder as it had a broken tumblper in it,but all the tumblers were free and springy yet none of them would come out??
Where do you buy those tumblers??
with your video I was able to understand how the cylinder is made and repair one. THANKS FOR SHARING!
Hi Vin! Thanks for the helpful video! I would like to do the same thing but I am not able to remove the cylinder from the lock. Could you explain how you have achieved that? I can't find a way to remove the little U-shaped security plate if you know what I mean. Thanks in advance!
