Lmao this is so funny! I didn’t even think people would think this is fake but I guess you can barely see the sparkles so it’s super valid. (I’ll call it out if I notice that people might think it’s fake in the future thanks for the comment) I have a couple shinies I got live where it didn’t fit in my recording set up so you can’t see it sparkle and therefore it could be faked. Once again thanks for pointing this out didn’t even think people would think it’s fake so it’s helpful for me as I upload my old clips to shorts with terrible camerawork (cause I had no clue what I was doing)

@ No, thats not why I’m calling this fake. You clearly moved the camera to a different screen that had a shiny pulled up on it. The background for the battle with the ekans doesn’t line up with the graphic that displays when you battle in a cave. It’s supposed to be dark, not a bright grassy area. Not only that, but I have a feeling Ekans can’t even be found in the area you’re exploring. Try harder to make it look real bro.

Yeah that’s what I was saying it’s really hard to see cause I cut the footage to fit in short format. The original video is not linked to the short and it’s clearer there (although I don’t recommend watching that one cause it’s super old and bad lol which is why I didn’t even link it) I’m really glad you called it out cause it’s hard to tell that it’s a different system and if that kind of thing happens in a future short I’ll make sure to mention it to make it clearer what’s happening. You thinking this is faked is super reasonable and I should have realized that when making the short. Thank you for the callout, it helps me improve the content!

It is lol, most of my mons have terrible natures so I’m very used to it. Funnily enough Confetti has a bad nature and also (not shown in the video) got the worst of its 2 abilities. I don’t want to try and get better mons though because they came from this hunt which was really special!

@ yeah, plus the odds are a whoooole lot higher and I have a very short attention span 😅

Shiny hunting in SV requires you to be really focused or else you might miss the shiny so your attention span must be pretty good to be able to do that! It actually requires too much focus for me so I can’t hunt in multiple games which is why I have barely any shinies even though the 3D models have never looked better

@ that’s true, I hope that in the future they combine the shiny hunting methods from SV with the shiny sound from Legends Arceus when shinies spawn in the over world for an ideal shiny hunting experience where you can let your mind wander and not have to pay so much attention while hunting.

It’d be really cool if they made the audio jingle a setting. Trying to spot the shiny using only visuals can be fun. I did a bunch of SV hunts where I had no clue what the shiny looked like and that was fun. Sadly I don’t think they are to keen on customization with them getting rid of exp share toggle and set mode toggle

This is when I was first getting into full odds hunting. I think my plat dtq reactions were a bit more excited because those hunts were so grueling but this is probably my second biggest. I reacted so big for morpeko and I have no memory of why my only guess is because I had finished the dtq The next video I’m uploading is gonna have some really big reactions. Trying to get it done as soon as I can

Thanks! I already evolved it into a lilligant I love the shiny. I’ve wanted it in gen 5 for a long time but never hunted it. The legends shiny looks good i want to get it someday as well. It’s my first time making a video in this style it was a lot of fun! I was unhappy with the quality of the footage but I’m glad I could still get a good video inspite of that

I have been wanting a capture card but since I multi hunt it’s too expensive to get a bunch. I am looking into one for my switch though. I currently record everything on my phone and if I move my camera farther away the quality improves (at the price of seeing the console). I am going to start recording like that instead of trying to make it seem like it’s a capture card lol. I think that aesthetic will work much better. I have been wanting to make more story driven shiny hunts. I literally yesterday started a big project that I’m really passionate about. I’m not too focused on growing the channel anymore. I mean if that happens it’s great. 2 years ago I did want to grow the channel and with how luck based shiny hunting is those desires were incompatible. Ended up super burnt out because of it. I’ve got a more balanced mind set now and I am actually excited about videos again. If I focus on growth then I need to be a shiny hunting machine which I am trying really hard not to become lol I currently have footage for 2 shinies one of which is super blurry sadly. Those 2 are probably gonna be in a similar style to what I am doing now. I am hoping to make a video that’s a little more special after that but I need to get the shinies first lol. Again thank you so much for your comment! It helps enforce my desire to make content and just made me super happy! I wasn’t sure about the project I just started but this makes me feel more confident because I do want to head in that direction with the story and music. I hope you are doing well! You are extremely kind!! You also have very good suggestions. It’s all stuff I’ve thought about. The suggestion about incorporating a narrative into the hunts is excellent it’s now very prevalent in the shiny hunting TH-cam scene and something I only recently had the thought of truly trying.

I’m so glad to hear this, and I’ll stay on the watch for content! Being a shiny hunter full time would definitely be very difficult, tedious, and mentally taxing, and I admire people like you who do it purely because they love it, not to try to impress other people. So much potential here, and I’m super glad I found this channel while browsing. Mental health is definitely more important than anything involved with being a TH-camr though.

Thanks, I like my teams to be somewhat well balanced for battles and it was a bit of a struggle to settle on a team simply because there aren't many gen 2 pokemon and a few are kanto exclusive

I was editing the video for dracozolt which was star and completely forgot what sparkle arc to had. I didn’t even register that square was the rarer one so thanks for pointing that!!

That really sucks, when I’m repositioning my ds for the zoomed in view I’m always really nervous about accidentally pressing run because I’d hate for that to happen.

The hunt took so long that my brain converted shiny Starly into pidgey. It made me laugh so hard when I was editing the clip and heard what I said.
