I watch these over and over. you get a chance to see correct ball position one time and then watch other aspects ( shoulder rotation, opening the hips, hand placement and grip, follow through, etc.) Its like getting a full lesson if you break it down that way.👍🏻

One thing I've learned from watching Xander's swing is how he maintains his right arm (elbow doesn't bend) until shaft is at or just past parallel in his back swing. I've been working on this and it's improved my ball striking and increased distance.

Doesn’t go horizontal at the top for a big wind up but drops down to compress the muscles for a clean pull then lets the body unwind for the full follow thru. I think bringing the right arm down and into the waist controls the path of the club and the rest is alignment of the hands at impact.

Notice how each player drags the club head on the ground for literally 12-16 inches back before it begins lifting! That is a main factor in the club face staying in proper position for the shot shape they are playing! I personally have began focusing more on that first 12-16 inches and have seen much better ball flights, and ball striking….. look up some old Moe Norman videos and he started his swing 20 inches or so back so that his backswing stayed right where he wanted it, and he was known as the greatest ball striker ever!

Each and every physiology and bio mechanics are different, sorry you guys don’t know the forces on his spine etc. The golfer now has a team who is assessing the athlete and will if injury or correction is necessary will inform the player. I don’t see any acute pain or tightness that is afflicting his swing this time.

He lags his hands at the top as he drops into the slot. He's getting incredible clubhead swing with full extension from the simple move.

Nice to see an unorthodox swing kicking butt on the tour. Reminds me when I started going to PGA events in the late 1970’s…..Nicklaus, Trevino, Watson, Miller and Weiskoph……..all great players…completely different swings
