Which i the better hatcher?
Cimuka has some issues with visibility and Fiem has some problem with humidity. The chickens hatch alright but are having problems with egg shells and amniotic sac residues stuck on their body. And some will not make it due to the eggs becoming to dry for them to even take breaths in and out eventually.
It is spring time, May 17 2023 and the relative humidity in Södermanland, Sweden at this time is 43 %.

We have covered almost the entire bottom of the hatcher with water basins and can still not get the humidity over 45%. It is spring time, May 9 2023 and the relative humidity in Södermanland, Sweden at this time is 33 %. We just finished a hatch and have taken out the chickens and filled one basin with a little baking soda to release calsium from the float switch to have it operate properly. Af...

“Cutting trees with my son Lukas… [showing me the quicker way!!]” Great to see you working (mostly) together. Practical, hands-on work can be a difficult place for parents to let go - let the young learn, sometimes by their mistakes. Fortunately, all (non-tree!) limbs seem to be present at the end! (Reminds me of my headstrong youth - chainsawing / removing my grandma’s crazy tall pine tree! 🌲) Always good to see the property and what you’re doing with it. Beautiful covered in snow when we’re melting here in Australia! 🥵 Good job, Lukas (and Mum!) 🪚🌲🔥🌲🪚
~ Ha ha yes I was thinking that we would be able to breath, not have to sharpen the chain and life would be so much more easier with just the common saw. But wherever there is a guy there needs to be a machine 😁 And it is not always easy to have your mom as your coach! 😅 But it in a near future the teacher will have become the student. The next generation is so smart and quick to learn. And also he goes to school where they practise these things. But the chainsaw massacre is not on the schedule until the third year, so until then it is home schooling in this particular subject. @@nylandsgard2331 But Helen - what would life surely be without mechanised (AND noisy!) any and EVERYthing?!🙃😉 I used to work in landscape gardening when I was round Lukas' age and had plenty of time to learn some tough lessons on these outdoors themes, thank god overseen by a couple of wise friends. (No Monty Python-esque Black Knight losing limbs galore to protect the bridge!! 😬🤔) Unfortunately, Mums (& parents generally) aren't "able" to be wise for many growing kids until a little bit later - (ie. like when *they* become parents...!)
