RC Plane - Evening Flight Onboard The Wilga
An oldie but a goodie I started out in balsa sailplanes than gassers and then flight test come out and I bet you I built probably 20 of these easily great flight great video looks like there's water in the pond down below again take care
Been there. At least yours flew quite longer my scratch builds. All my hand launches are nose dives. My 3s battery in nose area to get cg balance doesn't survive nose dives even at low speeds and low altitudes still manages to breaks apart bad.
Oh dang hate to see that.. I had my elevator control horn come loose a couple weeks ago and nosed in hard and snapped my biplane in half but I fixed it in 5 minutes 😂 Still flies great. Build crash repair repeat, just part of the hobby 🤷🏼♂️ lol
Cool build nice flights bro 👍 I build homemade foam board planes also, I design my own mostly. My latest is my biplane, it absolutely blew my mind how well that thing flies, I fly it more than any of my store bought planes 😂 Love seeing these homemade planes. Feel free to check out my biplane etc, Everybody should have one, trust me you will love it… ✌🏻
I just made a plane like that with the same cys servos😉
Good plane can you make a tutorial on how to build this plain
Thanks for your comments. That's the beauty of scratchbuilt planes; you can mod to your heart's delight. I use regular Adams foamboard exclusively. Have fun!
Absolutely 👍 Cool build, looks like it flies nice… ✌🏻
Great video. Great build. I notice that you enjoy scratch building also. Love your collection. Have you ever looked into the Flite Test Bloody wonder, or the Fun bat airframes. Both very similar. What I did is " FINALLY " bought the Bloody Wonder. Didn't like the Flite Test foam board, so I traced the wing over to Walmart Foam Board and made the Fun Bat with the KFM Airfoil stacked twice on top. Great airfoil. No internal spar needed. I like to cover all my airframes in packing tape for strength. The Flite Test foam board has a Wax coating over it for water resistance. Tape won't stick to it, so I traced it over to the Walmart foam board which is my new favorite. I made the One peice fuselage like the Fun Bat, and like a few of yours. Such a very fast, simple, strong build. Waiting for the wind to calm down for the Maiden. Wish I had your flying spot.
Another great Redemption flight take care
Taught that plane a thing or two yeah it's pretty good take care
I really like your build's. Can I make a suggestion. Prior to flying, Give a quick overview of your airplanes, and show us a top, side and bottom view of them. Also the electronics used. People Are interested in the actual airplane also. Of course we want to see how they fly too. There's a lot of scratch builders out here.
Great video. Love your Private flying site. Where did you find the blue prints for that airframe. Looks like a fun build.
Xjet on TH-cam and you can find the link in Bruce's video about this plane. Couple years ago, I believe. Cheers
Absolutely perfect. great vid

For hand launched pusher aircraft, we have found that the plane must be launched at a higher angle than normal, and use only about two thirds power. Max powered launches tend to push the aircraft down until lift is created with increased speed, even with gliders. Once they gain speed, they are fun! Thanks for sharing.
Great flight up till that tree jumped in front of you saw the whole thing . This design with that power could be another third bigger and still fly fast . take care always a pleasure watching your videos
Agreed. Thanks for your kind words!
how do you make that and what are the specs?
It's all in the Flite Test Community thread under Plans. Dan Sponholtz is the designer.
Great flight always loved the look of the Wilga Take care
🤣😂😅 great plane propless and all,
can you diy it?
Great Flight there a pretty good wing and Is this the Okeef Ranch Take care
Sugarloaf! Good eye.
Good on you Pete have you been getting any rain ? Take Care
Hey Pedro, that certainly is a nippy Zipper. I hope you remembered to breathe. Nice flying.
Thanks, Ian. A little cardio without going to the gym!
Omg your not kidding about you need to be awake with this one I thought i had a fly on my screen turned out it was your plane great flight Homey looks like you have been getting some rain also Take Vare
Smooth build and smooth flight. Your building up quite the fleet of SP0NZ planes...I like it! Always nice to see videos of my designs being enjoyed by other people in the hobby. Thank you for sharing.
I appreciate it Dan. Your designs are great flyers. My Sidewinder has a coroplast fuse. Would be a great combat plane! Peter H
006 it appears that the main wing has a less-than ideal profile. compare a clark-y or similar low-re# profile. the mass of the elevator servo should be located near the cg. cg Should be located at thirty percent of chord. design of stabs is wonky. specifically, the root chords of the stabs Should be Equal in length; and the amount of slope used at the vert-stab le is excessive. the stab tips should not be 'beveled'. a couple degrees of SWEEP should be used at the horiz-stab le. why is a servo Sticking Out of the model. why does the tail boom have a Blunt End. why is part of the lower aft of the vert-stab Missing. d
Wow! Lol..... It's a 2 dollar plane, Einstein.
It's amazing that the thing even flies. Such a terrible design! ;)
😂
Hey can you give me some advice on what airplanes i should build with a 1400kv motor and a 2200Mah batt, want it to be a slow flyer, easy, fun, and would want to build it out of foam.
I suggest you go to Flite Test and pick a plane that recommends 1400kv. Usually 8 inch prop I think. Thrust to weight ratio has everything to do with it.
@@PilotPete-662 Theres none for free?
Go into the Flite Test community page and you will find threads that contain free plans. Most of FT paid Plans are only $6US anyway.
Great flight Homey that foam Wonder is a great plane to fly. It doesn't care about wind or anything and it's like it flies on rails. Take care. Good to see you on
Very kind, man. Love this hobby!
Solid flight! Thanks for sharing.
That means a lot. Thank you very much.
can you make it yourself if so how?
Flite Test community. Plans section. Sponz
It looks PRACTICAL ! BRAVO!!!
Is the prop on backwards? Hard to see but it looks like it's in tractor configuration rather that pusher
Nope. A thrust and balance issue!
Great to see you on Homey wow that little lake's like my Slough getting smaller and you looks like you're as dry as we are here. Take care
Thanks. Ya, we're already on watering restrictions and it's only April!
light weight🎉🎉🎉🎉
Good to see you back on. Happy New year's Homey I see you guys got just as much snow as we do. It looks like fall here. Take care. Looking forward to more videos
Appreciated! Just got a bit of snow last night. Should melt off. I have a little f22 pusher I want to maiden!🤞
This plane is awesome
Any very large acreage for sale there ?
Anyone 2024
Quality content, definitely subscribing!
Great job! Glad you got it all sorted out. They fly great when everything is working the way it should. Thanks for sharing the video.
Lol great flight right up to a glide's. Pretty good 🤣😂. Take care
Great flight Homey your vindicated it's nice when it works out. Take care
Appreciate it! Right back at you. Best regards. Peter
dunno if it`s an optical illusion, but the wings look as if they have anhedral. I would build it with a little more nose and tail moment out of dollartree foam. Best wishes
that was 10 seconds
Great redemption flight they always flew pretty good. I twin mine things like a rocket on rails
Should called this plane deja vu lol
Tip stall but close as you could ever get to the last video of it. Take care Oh yeah Where is home? It looks like the salmon arm area Northeast Alberta here
Close! Kamloops. Moved here from GP in '89. Thanks for watching.
Good fun... I wasn't sure if it was "Rip" or "R.I.P." until the end. I was turning blue from holding my breath! 😜👍
What electronics do you have inside?
