Also please ignore all the old man pain noises. I'm not real sure when it happened, but when I move there is now a noise that goes along with it 🤣

You should look at the Addmotor M-360. Powerful and very comfortable. The semi-recumbent style is easy to pedal. I bought the 2024 version with the improvements they made. Worth every penny. I’m 74, 5’10” 245lbs. The lower center of gravity makes it very stable. Well built and comes with a nice list of free or included items. Only had it for a couple of months but very pleased with it.

A few days ago I was doing some more research and came across this Addmotor M36 mini trike. It has 16 inch wheels instead of 20 inch wheels. I'm going to see if they can supply one to Australia .. Thanks for your review.

Sorry it was an M360 not an M36

I git it😊. It depends on how tall you are. Keep that in mind as you order. The mini and standard refer only to tire size.

If you haven't fully decided yet there's a new trike on the market I'm keeping an eye on. It's only been out a few months so there aren't a lot of reviews but the ones that are out there are positive. It's rated for 500 pound capacity, is rear wheel drive with a differential, has a 750 watt, 1000 watt peak motor and 7 speed Shimano shifter. It has a front suspension fork but there is no adjustment. Hydraulic brakes with 160 mm rotors at each wheel and a parking brake function. The tires are 20x4 and it's a folding trike. Top speed is 25 mph and it uses a cadence sensor plus has a twist throttle. The company name is Puckipuppy and there are two models, the Husky which is currently $2099 and the Husky Plus which is the same except it has dual batteries for I believe $500 more. The company has plenty of good reviews on their ebikes so hopefully the same will hold true for the trike. Going by specks it's exactly what I've been looking for. The only thing keeping me from buying is I want to see what people are saying about them once they've put a few hundred miles on them, not just initial impressions. One thing people say about the trike and their bikes is that if there is a problem customer service is quick to resolve it. They also say they get a phone call from the customer service the day it's delivered asking if everything is ok and if they have any question about assembly or anything else. For the few that have had a problem which has mostly been limited to the screen going bad, customer service also calls when the replacement part is delivered to make sure it resolved the problem. Good luck and I hope you have many miles of enjoyment from whatever you choose.

All of these models are granny-style delta trikes with bike- or tractor-style seating. You're missing a huge universe of recumbent trikes that are lower to the ground, with much more comfortable seating, that are either tadpole style with two wheels in front (e.g., TerraTrike, Catrike, ICE) or the new HP Velotechnik Delta TX, which also has comfortable seating, and is recumbent. The prices are quite a bit more than the delta models you showed, but are MUCH better quality.

Physically, I'm not one who can use the recumbent trikes. I also need something that can handle riding around the farm, in the dirt, out in the field and on gravel roads. So its the granny style for me : )

@@newtemporaryobsession I'm not going to tell anyone they shouldn't ride a specific trike. But if you're reviewing trikes, it would be good to point out that your chosen models aren't the entire universe. BTW, if you're ever near a recumbent trike shop (they exist!), go in and check out the models. Most recumbents these days aren't the ultra-lowrider speedster models, but have seats that most older adults can get into and out of either without assistance or with some easily-attachable accessibility aids (Versa bars are common for TerraTrike models). You may find that you have more options than you thought!

The Mooncool is a 500w motor that peaks at 750 - big difference.

I have seen them, and their not bad looking . The TK1 Folding looks like its the only rear wheel drive trike they have. I also stumbled across the "PuckiPuppy Husky", so far only one video of it here on TH-cam.

Have you looked at the Lectric XP Trike? It's rear wheel drive and it's only $1500

J - I have looked at them. And although the price looks good, there are several things I didn't like. 1st was it is a folding trike, I'm worried it will be a fail point in the future. 2nd it is not a fat tire trike. 3rd to many bad reviews of damage in shipping. www.youtube.com/@EbikeReviews has a bunch of videos on the XP Trike. Not a lot of great things to say about it. And he has one that he's thoroughly ridden and tested. I suggest going over to his channel and watching his videos on it. #EbikeReviews

Now that the Mooncool has been out for a while people are reporting the same damage in shipping and bearing failures as Lectric. You have to keep in mind Lectric has sold many thousands more trikes so naturally there are more that have problems. Mooncool customers also are reporting abysmal customer service while Lectric is rated among the best. Both trikes use the same differential. When there's a wheel bearing problem or bent axle on a Lectric trike they replace the whole trike. When Mooncool has the same problem they send you a new bearing or axle and leave it to you to replace it. The only problem Richard had with his were shipping related and user error from not cleaning the oil off of the rotors and contaminating the brake pads. Oh, he did have a brake lever break when he was squeezing it hard trying to stop with contaminated pads which shouldn't have happened. Lectric customer service took care of everything quickly. Richard complained about having to remove a wheel and send Lectric a video of the axle rotating but that was to determine if his problem was a bent wheel which they could easily replace or a bent axle in which case they would replace the trike. They ended up sending him new wheels and tires which solved the problem. I really like watching his videos and believe he does honest and fair reviews. In the case of the Lectric trike however I feel like his initial problems with shipping damage left him with a bad impression he hasn't been able to get over. If you notice, he complains about some things on the Lectric trike while ignoring or even complementing the same things on other trikes. When he first got the Mooncool TK1 and was showing how the tail end brake lights work he specifically said having the fender lights work as brake lights along with the center light is much better than just the center light on the Lectric trike when in fact both trikes work exactly the same way. Finally, if you watch his video where they did a big group trike ride he talks about the problems each trike had on the trip then very quickly mentions the Lectric trike was the only one that completed the trip without a single issue, almost as if he was embarrassed to admit it. He didn't say another word about the Lectric trike during the whole video while talking extensively about the others. I'm in no way saying Lectric is the best and as long as they've been selling them they really should have found a better way to package and ship them. No excuses for that. Just trying to put things in perspective. I'm also in no way bashing Richard or his channel. I would have a bad impression too if I went through what he did. While I feel he may be holding a grudge over the initial problems he does still have plenty of good things to say about the Lectric trike and the negativity he expresses towards it are part of him just being completely honest in his evaluation. That's one of the reasons his is one of my favorite channels to watch. Good or bad he tells you exactly what he thinks about the products he reviews and that's how it should be.
