Hello my name is Millicent a Presbyterian from Ghana living in Winnipeg. Please how do I connect with you guys.
Hi Millicent. The best way to connect with us is to visit the website prairiechurch.ca (there is lots of information there, or click on the contact button there) or come to our gathering on Sunday, 10am, at 590 University Crescent. We would love to meet you.
Dear brother, I recommend to you the site Catholic Answers. Pax
If your church tells you that someone else other than you is God's Chosen, you should go shopping for a new church.
Oh boy.
Amen❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Hi, Im not getting sound with the video
Thank you for the lovely conversation about the helpfulness of a prayer of confession, not for self-blame, but to open our hearts to renewal.
Amen, Pastor Matt!

Why should you never draw lines at identity? It seems perfectly fine to draw a line for age of consent, for example.
I think the “lines” being referred to are really about inclusion in community. The clip is part of a larger sermon and this section is about how church and society have at times used identity (race is a good example here) as a way of deciding who is “in or out” or who receives benefits.
The presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives and in our midst is the Presence of God in the end times.
hello nice video
Love it!
Very well read!!
🔥🙏🏾🔥
Thank you for a wonderful and thought-provoking sermon.
Thank you Matt
Excellent sermon, Matt. Blessings.

@5:48 “Fire Snakes” may have been a real thing. There's a kind of parasite called the Guinea worm, Dracunculus medinensis, which might have been the original “fire snake” that attacked the Hebrews. Like many parasites, their life cycle is bizarre. If parasitic worms gross you out, you should stop reading now. You’ve been warned… Guinea worm larvae begin their lifecycle in stagnant puddles where they’re eaten by copepods (very tiny “water fleas”). When someone (like a thirsty Hebrew) drinks the water, the copepods die in the host’s stomach, releasing the Guinea worm larvae, which burrow through the host’s stomach and intestinal walls and live for nearly a year in the spaces between the host’s internal organs. There they mate. The male worm dies, and the pregnant female grows to almost a meter long and as thick as a spaghetti noodle. The female Guinea worm works its way to just under the skin of the host’s legs or feet . There, it releases an acid which causes a very painful blister. Scratching the blister breaks the skin, exposing the rear end of the Guinea worm. The host tries to ease the pain by soaking the blister in water. This triggers the Guinea worm to release millions of larvae back into the water, and the worm's lifecycle repeats. The blisters are said to feel like your skin is on fire. Hence “fire snakes”. No wonder the Hebrews complained! There is no medicine to kill or prevent Guinea worms. The only treatment is to extract the worm very slowly, over several days, being careful not to snap the worm in two. This is done by wrapping the end of the worm around a small stick or twig, and rolling it up, bit by bit, until it’s finally removed. The process cannot be rushed. Meanwhile the poor host is in agony, suffering with a burning pain from an open blister, like being bitten by a “fire snake”. Worse, the host is at risk of a bacterial infection, which could be fatal. In Numbers 21: 6 we’re told many of the Hebrews died. This is where the story of the bronze snake in Numbers 21 comes in. The bronze snake on a pole may have been like a medical model to show the Hebrews the correct technique for removing a Guinea worm safely. The Hebrews could look at it, learn the correct technique, and live. The bronze snake, called the “Nehushtan”, became a cultural artifact and survived from the time of Moses until King Hezekiah had it destroyed, because the people were worshipping it rather than God (See 2 Kings 18: 4).
Peace of Christ to all
Amen
