Ohhhhh that ain’t gonna hold
Brother I started an excavation & trucking business in Seattle, I’m about to land a contract and I need startup capital, any advice or resources would be greatly appreciated thank you so much! Awesome video i have been working harder than ever I knew possible lol 😂
Where is the step by step guide??? The video is an overview. No compacting rolling? No spraying anything?
What are you gonna spray it’s crushed Ashphalt it’s installed here in Michigan just like a gravel driveway
Thanks for more great ideas! I have a good diesel truck & 10k dump trailer also access to a mini-x 24/7. Working towards a skiddy is my goal. I'm a one man band.
Get it son that’s how I started
That's a lot to do by yourself! Nice job, hope you find some help soon.
Wasn’t to bad only took a week and a half to complete including hauling and demo of old walls
Hey man, I found your video after doing a lot of research and just thought that I might as well ask a question. I’m 17, own an f250 that has no problem hauling, and i’ve really been considering buying a dump trailer and trying to start a hauling business. Is it possible to do it at my age? Any advice is extremely appreciated!
Any ideas on how to run gutter drainpipe through these block?
Just depends. Do you want to run it behind it or do you wanna run it through it?
@@dirtworktv Through it.
Love the trailer setup
Thank you
We run Cat 289D they grade amazing in Wisconsin people who think they are junk are all stunned!
Yeah, I think it’s been a good machine so far very little issues
I only have a mini excavator, a flat car hauler and a half ton pick up , I can't get a skid steer at least for another year , any ideas
Just keep saving possibly look for a really cheap one that you can fix up maybe from auction or on Facebook marketplace or possibly try to big jobs a little high and maybe just rent one for custom jobs for the short term.
@@dirtworktv thx
@@willkearns5055 yes sir anytime in the beginning it’s always hard you just gotta keep pushing forward and be patient and work hard and provide good quality work
@@dirtworktv thx I needed to hear that ✊
did you have to pay for the sprinkler line to get re installed?
We didn’t end up fixing it ourselves. We have all the stuff we hit a sprinkler lines and stuff all the time doing walls.
We fixed it ourselves. That was supposed to say sorry.
How much were those block?
Individually price is different than bulk price
Cool bro❤❤
Thank you
Should I buy an escavator first or skid steer ,
I would say Skid Steer it gives you way more versatility. That’s what I started with.
@@dirtworktv thx
@willkearns5055 yes sir
Maybe 2k
Ya
One of the most practical videos I have ever seen. Thank you.
Yes sir
My uncle has a 305 or a 306 and he let me run it for a little bit and it was really fun
Heck ya
What your recommendation for instance
Any way you can be more specific
I’m brand new start up man I’ve invested over 60k in used equipment from semi dump truck to service truck to all excavation tools I might need as far as my 5 year experience goes .. I’m 26 and have only landed 2 jobs in last 6 months I’m driving my semi dump tractor trailer a lot more then I want to any advice on how I can start landing more jobs ?
You could do yard signs put them on telephone poles, local advertising targeting Facebook ads for your local area within like a 30 mile radius lots of ways just market market
What a half ass bull shit video
How much milling in this video?
I think 30 tons
Guys like this will pour a 3 inch slab and wonder why it looks like crap in 3 years.
Yup
Contractor prolly did what he wa asked🤷🏽
If a truck . Or 18 wheelers as u call them park on it no worries mate !! It's actually kinda average
My shop is that thick aint messing around with this thin shit that will crack the second i drive a d10 cat on it i paid for it.
He’d be pissing and moaning if it was too thin
its almost as if the amount of concrete used is factored into the price regardless of thickness :0 crazy concept right? Why the fuck would he not be making money
But what if that's how I want my bunker built? Lol
Lol that’s a fair question. I’m down with that.
What size excavator is this? Thanks
305E2
Good video bro 😎
Thank you, sir
That's exactly what my boss does to me
Yes sir
😊
Same way the boy in her phone gets her while your Getting dirty at the site. Availability 😂
Man, where did you find that rig, that thing looks wild! Makes for a fun job for sure! keep it up man.
Yeah, that thing is a beast. We used it from one of our local equipment dealers made the job so much easier and less cleanup.
Thanks. Not news, I mean it's been around a long time
What did you think augers were for? Only drilling ice in the winter? 😂😂 some good dirt though I'd have caught about 30 rocks and made barely a dent in that time here
😂😂🤦🏻♂️ I guess I never really thought about it or looked into it. We just had a job where we had to do it like 300 plants and I was like I’m not digging all these holes so I was like screw it ice auger.
Love this! Therapy for both eyes and ears!
Yes sir
Lost me at the fast forward when u just got started
Sorry I’ll try to explain better next time
Hi, what size dump trailer? Which skidsteer do you recommend and why? Also, how do you transport your skidsteer? On a separate trailer? Thanks in advance! -Marcus from AZ
I have a tri axle goose neck dump rated for 21,000 lbs and a good size skid-steer to start with is around a bobcat T590 size or cat 259D and I don’t always transport separate while the times I just haul it in the Dump Trailer
What’s the cost per square foot for a resurface job?
I usually just bend the job for material delivery Trucking and how much time I will be on the job
@@dirtworktv I have a tandem and usually just do deliveries but I have had a lot of people asking for installs… I’m just trying to figure out how to charge that side of things
@jeremiahredfearn4291 yeah I get it yeah usually I just charge for the time of delivering the materials and then factoring hauling the machine out to the site and then however many hours it’s gonna take to spread the material not usually quote them for 3 to 4 inches for your standard driveway it’s gonna be a quick easy one. I usually charge a minimum of maybe 1000 to 1500 for installing the material and it’s a larger driveway and it’s gonna take bit more time. Usually that just depends on the size of the driveway.
I had someone ask for a quote on resurfacing just under 20k sqft I figured with 1” about 90 tons… I quoted them 5400 for everything just not sure if I’m high or in the ball park. Someone a few hours from me said they are charging anywhere from 900-1000 per load for everything
@jeremiahredfearn4291 that sounds about fair. What state are you in?
That mic is trash. Also, this is America, we dont need sub titles in English for your English.
I came here for the music love Fred again
Ye sir 🤟🏽
How you doing, I will work for you for free for 1 week if you teach me how to work like that, I will even pay you, but I want to learn something to stop being on the road as a truck driver, please let me know. Thanks.
Are you located in Michigan
@@dirtworktv I can move there, location is not a problem, please let me know, thanks.
spruce stumps run shallow. Maples and hardwood stumps are deeper.
Yes sir spot on 🤟🏽
It’s easy buy equipment but extremely hard to find jobs like that….
Advertising ,networking , and word of mouth there enough work to always be busy
Back at it again, get it boy!
Yes sir let’s go🤟🏽
Was the total job $3000 or was that profit? Looks good!
How about $325 in material and like 60 bucks for fuel
@@dirtworktv that’s pretty damn good then.
@ghostedwaffle2151 for sure doesn’t always happen but when it does makes it all worth it
Always better to remove the bucket
