Far from the OP intent, I see current AI tools as creating dependency, but not in the way, like I said, the OP intended. Current AI tooling is very high level, usually in the form of a web chat app, and this not only creates a human dependency on the tools (as a crutch to avoid human action so to say) but are built at such a high level that the understanding of the system is often layers down, not only creating obfuscation of it's workings, but adds layers of inefficiency as well. I never wanted to "program", so I have always loved high level tools. But when coming into an when no-code==no brains & no productivity... talk of "own nothing & be happy" and "Don't learn to code" from the same people should make anyone want to know a little about everything between a 1nm transistor and single atom carbon nano tubes and Voyager I at least. This is actually a shorter leap of faith in today's world than before believing some social app with a mad lib generator attached. Intelligence is physics with a little bit of lying thrown in. This is how possibilities are idea-ized and then capitalized upon (what we call progress)... in AI we call this hallucination. It is a feature, not a bug. So boosting creativity is actually a stronger characteristic in current ML trained models than precision factual tasks. Don't believe the evergreen, cyclical hype. It is misleading into the wrong conversations. You can't miss the forest if you KNOW what a tree is. Ignorance breeds dependence upon intelligence for survival. It, AI, will be more capable than humans soon at relational computational response. This will quickly lead to chains "physical state transactions". Think of autonomous CNC factories creating "new designs" without us, but based on data collected "from us" as a twilight moment coming soon. This all at the speed of fiber optics through atoms size transistors. You will need a proxy or become under the dependence of another's. Get building. At any level. Everything "depends" on it. ;)
