playa del carmen is lame overpriced tourist trap and I dont want hear the opinions of americans who find it great cause they dont know any better No uber cause taxi mafia control everything and asks you to paye 3x the normal price Gold diggers and hookers No proper infrastructure Food is MEH Locals are not that friendly compared to other latino countries Women are MEH as well, just want your money. Argentinians much more beautiful & educated Spain & Italy is cheaper and 10x better Heck even France can be as cheap if you know where to go I will go to Oaxaca next, I heard it's more nature and peaceful

Having lived in Casablanca for 3 years, you definitely have to develop street smarts to live in Morocco. That being said, avoiding the tourist locations is often the best way to enjoy the country and people are less likely to try to scam you. But I had to get used to paying more for everything due to the complection of my skin. In Morocco, there seemed to be two types of people. Those who would give the shirt off their back to help you and those who would steal the shirt off your back if they could get away with it.

This guy choose the worst place to fool people about where is his hotel. That use to be an illegal place where they use to hide kids.

Never ask anyone standing in the street. These guys work in groups and look to scam people. I’ve been living in Morocco for 3 years and my husband is native. We were targeted in Fes by a gang of young men. Stood on our ground and were okay. But for tourist, it’s not that easy. Don’t let these people win. If you have a question, ask a shop owner. NEVER someone in the street. Especially in the Medina.

Merchants and taxi drivers are just bad representatives to Tunisia. I have been there last month, and my daughters were actually scared. and for me, it was disgusting, they charge you 5 times more, and start dropping it down. so disgusting. but the country is lovely, and normal people are nice. only those who want to steal you are just disgusting.
