This is the official TH-cam for the Australasian Double Reed Society (ADRS)
The Australasian Double Reed Society Inc. is a non-profit organisation which promotes and enhances knowledge of double reed instruments (oboe and bassoon family). The adrs encourages performance, education, and interaction between double reed players of all standards, and maintains close links with similar societies throughout the world.
Membership of the adrs consists of a large cross-range of the Double Reed community, including professional players in major Symphony Orchestras, freelance professional players, woodwind educators and students in the Secondary and Tertiary sectors, enthusiasts and amateur players.

Excellent literature
Very beatifull sound,and they play a MARIGAUX, I did the same in 65 years. Marigaux was the instrument for me. Thanks to the to players,very very nice playing of Bach!!

Really interesting! I don't think Brahms married Clara Schumann (?).
Overall I enjoyed the presentation. Just like characters in a book, compositions can become more interesting when you know their background. This is a great demonstration of how directional the oboe is, and that moving the bell around too quickly can introduce distracting changes in the tone, unless you have a mic attached. Think about how different trumpets would sound if they danced around. Lindsey Sterling would sound comically different without a microphone.
