My new plant babies, so excited!! Watch me intro the happy bean plant with its gorgeous 'windows' and then I unbox the hindu plant that I ordered.
PART Four - update on the haworthia cooperi family :)
มุมมอง 2903 ปีที่แล้ว
The large plant was separated into multiple plants on 8.3.21. I then decided to try different growing mediums and this is an update on how that is going. What did you think would happen? Have you tried one of these growing mediums? If so, what were your results? If you like the video please give it a thumbs up so I know people are interested in watching. Thanks!
Giant Haworthia Cooperi - potting up - PART THREE
มุมมอง 3313 ปีที่แล้ว
Time to pot up the "Cooperi family" or the "Coopers" as I am now calling them. lol After this is finding places for all of these pots (that was a challenge in my small space) and now it's time for them to get some R&R and adapt and (hopefully) thrive. yay! Sorry that I said "perilite" when I meant "pumice" a few times lol
Splitting massive Haworthia Cooperi - part 2
มุมมอง 9733 ปีที่แล้ว
whew.... I did it!! I had to go online and get some advice after the 1st video. Great people and one told me not to be afraid and just 'wiggle' so... I 'wiggled' lol and it worked! My nerves are shot and both myself and the plants need to rest and recover. Please keep in mind this isn't a 'how to' video. Just me sharing what I went through with anyone interested. :) I will do a 3rd video in a f...

o.m.g I knew this would be rough but I didn't expect what I saw once I got that pot off!!! I had to pause the video and got get some advise from people that knew more about this than I do. So, that will be in the 2nd video. Remember - I am NOT a succulent expert, at all. This is NOT a 'how to' video. It is just me sharing my plant journey. Be kind, share tips, but trools and nasties will get th...

What kind of soil did you use for this Haworthia Cooperi? This Haworthia looks really healthy.

I did mine in straight potting soil in a plastic square 2 inch but didn't label the date :( did it last year 11/22. Kept them indoors for 3 months and then kicked them out just to see. So they are outside in the winter (low 30)and looking real fabulous. Looked bad for a few months too but bounced back real quick after I put them outside. Had them under grow light then moved to eastern light and covered direct light. they are good. they are even looking hazy/cloudy which is probably stress but doesn't seem to frost or anything...

I've heard these can grow from a leaf so damaging roots shouldn't be too detrimental.

I just got one of these and came in the same condition. I know that kind of frustration when trying to be delicate and having to be rough to get the job done. Lol

I had to use my kitchen sink sprayer to get the pups separated.

Loved watching this! I was holding my breath during some of it. I got a baby Hawarthia Cooperi as a gift 2 years ago and I just love it!

Yes, I had to give up on the echeverias. I'm in a small space with few windows (I have grow lights though). And thank you, I am so excited to have them :)

I have a happy bean and it gives me so much trouble. Leaves fall off all the time but it's putting out new leaves.

ugh, I hope it's not like jelly bean succulents. I had to give up on those because if I even looked at them sideways the leaves dropped, lol sigh

You are welcome. I have noticed in the last day, a few are starting to look a bit rough but the ones in the straight pumice are looking great. I might be repotting the others in just pumice soon
