Can you please make a video on how to join as we go? To avoid sewing hundreds little squares together. Thank you :)
Thank you so much for the demonstration !
Can this be made in dk weight?
Excellent tutorial. The voice is slow and clear. The demo is easy to see. I want to learn this.
I am glad that you find this tutorial helpful, let me know if you have any questions!
How do you change color when working in the round? Like when making hexagons
It is similar to how you change color in the middle of the row: - During the forward pass you would attach new yarn whenever you want to change color (usually at the beginning of an edge) - During the return pass you'd yarn over the new color and then pull through two whenever you want to switch colors
Great tutorials
I'm glad you think so!
I’ve been wanting to try Tunisian in the round 👍🏻 Maybe a silly question but could it be made into a sweater instead by joining up the front? 🤔
Not a silly question at all! I made one like that for my daughter. You can make any modifications you want. Seaming the front like the back will turn it into a jumper/sweater and you can give it a collar if you like. If you email me at arunima@knitterknotter.com, I can share a picture of my daughter's sweater so you can see what it looks like.
Thank you! I love that you didn't assume that we were total beginners! I know that's is nice for beginners. But it can be so boring for those of us that do know the basics and just want to understand this particular pattern!
I am glad to hear this! I have beginner level videos where I explain stitches in detail. I try to keep my pattern support videos clean by focusing on the pattern. I hope you enjoy making your slippers!
Hi Where do you get the chart from?
The charts are available in the paid PDF version: www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ira-shawl. You can find the written instructions for free on my website.
Hi!! Thank you for this pattern! I promised myself I would not start another new project until my Ipsa Blanket is finished. (Another broken promise. 🙄😂) Yesterday I purchased yarn for the cardigan and I am currently working round 17.🤓 I do have 2 questions.. Do you have a preferred method for changing colors on the forward pass? And do you recommend adding length to the cable as the sweater grows, or turning the piece more often to do partial passes? 💛
Hi Cindy! You are very quick, you should be able to complete the cardigan in no time! :) - Changing colors on the forward pass: I usually do it at the first stitch of the round by starting a new stitch with a new color. - Length of the cable: This is a personal preference. I like to work on multiple edges at once (just because I don't like to switch between the forward and return passes very often) so I work with long cables. But, some people have told me that their tension changes if they work on more than one edge at once. If you can keep your tension even, working with longer cables would work just fine. I hope that answers your questions!
@@KnitterKnotter Yes, thank you so much!
I'm so excited for this! Thank you for another gorgeous design and pattern!
Thank you! :)
Muy bonita y abrigada. Excelente video, bien detallado, se ve muy bien. Ahora a acertar con la talla y elegir hilado y colores! Gracias!!!💜
I am glad you like it! :)
It’s a beautiful cardigan!
Thank you!
Hi Arunima! I love how well organized this sounds! AND the fact it is Tunisian crochet, & the fact you use different size hooks each way! Very inspiring keeping the bigger picture in mind to make it look so simple what you do!- all amazing. thank you so much❤😊 j c
I am so glad to hear this! :)
Good morning 🌞 what a beautiful sweater. I love your color choice. I have never done Tunisian in the round. I think I need to practice this first. What do you recommend to try and around? Thank you
If you are new to working in the round, you could just use this video and get started with the first few rounds. The biggest challenge would be the corners where the twisted stitches are used. If you can practice those separately, that will be helpful: Left handed: th-cam.com/video/644YykcafIo/w-d-xo.html Right handed: th-cam.com/video/WN_Xz-Sncpg/w-d-xo.html If you need more support or want to learn more about the tunisian-in-the-round technique, I have a course that I offer where I talk about this in depth: knitterknotter.thrivecart.com/a-beginners-guide-to-titr/
Wow this looks so gorgeous 🤩 Going to definitely make this! ❤ Susannah
Awesome! I hope you enjoy making yours!
Heyy, I have a question. If I want to make this square bigger should I make more chains and therefore more rows in the square or should I do the same you are doing but then do it again over the square? I hope I can explain myself. Thank you!!
Hello, I recommend starting with more chains to make a larger square.
Does anyone think this pattern could be made into a shawl?
Yes, you could use this to make any rectangular or square shaped project!
This is great! I crocheted a Babette blanket years ago and it took me about four years to make myself put together the 126 squares of the pattern because they were different sizes and joining was a bit of a nightmare. I've been interested in making another and this will be a huge help with that. Thank you.
Yay, I am glad to hear this!
La mejor explicación de TH-cam!!! Habría algún truco para que no quedaran tantos agujeros en la unión de los truángulos??💜
I am glad you found this helpful! It might help to keep the joins tight to avoid having holes at the triangles.
@@KnitterKnotterGracias, voy a intentar traducir tu respuesta...😊💜
@@KnitterKnotterYa lo hago! Seguiré probando...gracias de nuevo💜
Thank you for working through this and showing this process.
You're welcome!
Hi. I am following along. But are the instructions for thecwhole cal withe the course material.
I have the entire pattern 25 squares along with the joining instructions and border available on my website if that's what you mean.
Do you have any solutions for locking the Tss between the rows on an extended stitch so you don't get flaps/ridges? these would be the same flaps/ridges you get in overlay if you don't anchor the BLO SC when you do the MDC
I don't but someone in my facebook group (KnitterKnotter Hangout) created a tutorial for it and share it there.
This is a great technique, I'll keep it for later. I was hoping to find a way to stitch back together a project I had to "cut"into. Making a cape, made vertical holes to pass arms through when needed, decided they were not placed where I wanted them but instead of unraveling the 50+cm I'd made since, I simply undid the row before I joined the holes together again. Hope my explanation is clear. I changed the arm holes placement, got to the point where I can now join my three panels together again with the piece that I haven't undone. So I need to graft a few selvedge knit stitches and a lot of simple stitches to the bottom of another similar piece . I'll try to figure something out, crossing my fingers I don't need to undo everything (that about 2 skeins of 150g each of very clingy yarn). I'll take any suggestions
I hope you were able to figure it out. I am not sure I understand entirely but it seems like you need to graft simple stitches as well as knit stitches right?
@@KnitterKnotter yes. I managed something but I finally decided to frog it, it looked odd no matter what and there were other issues with the project.
@@wildfireswildfires6792 okay, I hope it works out for you next time!
@@KnitterKnotter thank you, I'll definitely keep it on my list of techniques !
THANX HON 🤍🤍🤍🤍
you're welcome!
I absolutely love this pattern. So easy to follow. Is there a technique if i want it bigger? :) thank you so much
You can follow the tutorial and continue to increase in every round. If you are unable to figure out the increases, I offer a pattern that you could use to increase the size of your project: www.etsy.com/au/listing/1419050090/pdf-tunisian-crochet-spiral-rug-easy
Thank you so much. I have Lion Brand Ferris Wheel yarn. Recommended hook size is 5mm. Do I go up to a 6.5mm or 7mm ? :)
@@kyliecamilleri3956 I would try with a 6.5m hook and make a swatch of 10 rows / 10 stitches of Tunisian Simple stitches first. If you don't like the fabric you can use the 7mm hook and try making the swatch again.
@@kyliecamilleri3956 I would try a swatch of simple stitches with a 6mm or 6.5 mm hook instead of 7mm. If the fabric is too dense, then go up to 7mm.
You are a GREAT teacher!!! Thank you for the left handed video!!
You are so welcome!

❤🤗
Thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks Arunima. I was dreading joining all of these at the end of the project. I’m glad we can spread this out over the project. 😅
On the type 2 square is it pull through 2 across or pull through 1 then pull through 2 across?
Pull through 2 across for type 2 squares since we are not building an edge, we are joining with an existing square instead.
@@KnitterKnotter Thank you. I started a blanket and it’s looking nice. Beautiful pattern to work on.
This is the most beautiful afgan!! I just purchased your pattern. I can't wait to add this to my library of future projects. Thank You!!!!!
Yay! I'd love to see your version of this blanket, please share some pictures with me when you make it :)
I would love to know how your colors in the varigation came out so perfect.
@@mylaschorsch7516 After I made 2 hexagons I had a fair idea of how the color transitions were happening. For the most part, I just started a hexagon and let the colors flow but there were a couple of hexagons where I decided to start at a color that I thought would make more sense for the pattern I was making :)
Thanks for showing the options for where to start the rounds and the hint about cutting the yarn and starting in different corners. I think I'm ready to tackle the border!
Yay! Good luck!
Hi, how do you do both the twisted simple and twisted knitted stitches in one stitch? I can’t find a video showing me this.
