Mud Puddles and Headwinds
United Kingdom

Outdoors adventures of many kinds. Not really, just running, mountain biking, hopefully not too much walking and maybe some kayaking and RC fun thrown in.
2021 is the year for a 360 on a bike...hopefully 🤞

Gardening part 5 - quick update on how it’s going
Quick free roam showing multiple line options. Kyosho v Axial SCX Bronco, Jeep and Chevrolet C10
มุมมอง 5642 ปีที่แล้ว
Four cars driving helps but still just a small insight into how many line options this course really offers. Kyosho is modded to the moon and back. Absolute beast but needs a servo upgrade. Jeep has aluminium bead lock wheels. C10 and Bronco currently stock.
4 player game of hide and seek / TAG. Definitely some cheating going on 🤣

It’s so much fun playing this 🤣 maybe not the best crawling but you’ve got to act daft every now and again.
Gardening - Part 4. Timelapse of the sand clean up

Quick time lapse of the clean up ready for more vegetation
Gardening - Part 3. More vegetation added. It’s addictive 🌾🌿
มุมมอง 1.5K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Still a long way to go but big improvements made. We’re happy with the look so far.
Gardening - Part 2. More vegetation added. Let’s us know what you think. Are we going the right way?

Gardening - Part 1🌿🌾

Last night we started adding some grasses, bushes and some colour to the course. We don’t know what we’re doing so fingers crossed it ends up looking ok 🤷♂️
Cheat move in the cave

The alternative is very time consuming with a high chance of toppling over. Hahaha
How to make a small 1/24 rock crawler table
มุมมอง 1.1K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Made this for my dad as a Christmas present. It’s actually how I got into crawling by falling in love with the fun of 1/24 crawling. It comes with legs so you can crawl at table height or lay it on the floor. New driving video coming soon.
A new member to the RC family

Having to pass our handset to Scott was getting old…as is he. We decided to get home his own crawler for his 40th birthday. Awesome night of driving!!
Testing the bead lock YEAH RACING five spoke wheels. Axial SCX24
มุมมอง 2952 ปีที่แล้ว
Near flawless drive testing the wheels from our mini z on the SCX24. As you can see from the thumbnail, the upgrade has been fitted.
Full course.. Test build underneath the main course plus real rocks.
มุมมอง 1.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
An unfinished, bodged together test piece made from cardboard and expanding foam. Had fun testing our ability to add some greenery... average at best. New build options above the course but how we integrate the new entry and exit points without ruining old lines is tricky. Ideas in the comments please

Love the rock look. Does the sand track around the course or get into the floor?
Four wheel steering would make this course to EZ. But a huge challenge for my stock Axial Power Wagon. Thanks for the gr8 vid, mate...
Well done this looks amazing and lots of fun!!!
you built it out of rocky road icecream. thats fucking lit
Totally amazing and very lifelike course. Mine is huge and wild AF at this point. It looks like a Fear and Loathing Fever Dream but its fun and super challenging.
Awesome job making this crawler course! Thanks for sharing!!
Hi! Happy new year! Quick question, what did you use for a filler smoother? I was inspired by your course and building one of my own… thanks… awesome course by the way!
Wow! Really cool course! I love the multi level aspect of it
I love the cheesy pepperoni landscape paint what're you talking about. 😂
Yeah that’s a really sweet course. Super realistic good job!🤘🏽
with fpv camera can be amazing
Nice 👌
Yep! That's a very nice indoor crawl!
Wow that’s impressive. Nice detail.
Love the updates with the vegetation
Oh wow 🤩 that is cool 😎
It is a sweet coarse though ,,,,😊
Is it a kyosho mini z ?? Then it is 1/28 scale quit calling it a 1/24 people !!
Looks great! What are the dimensions of the flat surface you built it on? Thanks for a great video 👍🏻
Truly amazing course work.
Wow very realistic at the end
Ое он он д доого пюе%
For tips working with foam and expanding foam and running water features check out Serpa Designs channel. Tanner has been working with the stuff for years and has great how to videos! Edit he does terrariums and bioactive enclosures but he's great at making the look natural. Awesome job though!
Awesome
the scene so cool. its a nice video
You made one of the best, realistic landscapes I've seen. Incredible job! thanks for going into depth about the process.
Looks real... great job...
cool vid! big like!👍👍👍
cool vid! big like!👍
cool vid! big like!👍
Looks cool. I need to start making myself a little course.
At first I was like, hey a bearded dragon enclosure! I have been pondering making a dual purpose enclosure for a dragon and to drive around. Very cool work.
Our original idea was to use pieces from a pet store. We were like kids in a sweet shop 🤣🤣
What's the 'smoother' your refer to? Is it a plaster or drywall joint compound? Or product specifically used in model making with Styrofoam? Thanks!
It’s an indoor wall filler for plasterboard. DIY not for model making. It’s thinner/ more watery than the normal wall filler. It helps to fill the gaps from the filler and gets rid of the really rough edges. We started using our fingers until they bled. Eventually we slapped it on with paint brushes and then used our fingers to get a nicer finish without making our fingers bleed 🤦🏼♂️ USE A BRUSH!! 🤣
@@mudpuddlesandheadwinds2204 Thanks! Sounds like what we'd call Drywall compound or Drywall 'Mud'. Must be more durable than plaster of paris like some use on their plaster cloth courses. That stuff is pretty brittle.
I love it, keep up the great work!
You have a good looking course that’s for sure. I would love to see some videos of how you built it. Always lookin for ideas.
Thanks!! Check out our how a mistake video. That’s the best we do for now. We’ll try to do a better video of the painting process with the new parts to the course 🎨
Nicely done!
Awesome course, it keeps getting better and better.
Espectacular transformación. Yo estoy haciendo mi primera pista de crawlers basándome en la vuestra y en el centro de la pista he hecho un recorrido con pantanos. Y en la montaña voy a poner una cascada
Amazing looking course! Can you briefly explain how you created the rock affect? I know it’s probably more complicated than that lol
Thanks!! Check out the how a mistake video. That might explain a bit 👍
Very impressive course man! Has the sand messed with bearings at all?
Every now and again the Kyosho needs a little shake but more when a larger bit of grit stops the steering and not bearing. No bearings replaced so far 👍
@@mudpuddlesandheadwinds2204 awesome thanks for the reply!
what rc car is that one? looks cool
yes, really like it
Jeez, that's a great idea! 😂👍👍👍
Amazing!
Sweet game looks like a ton of fun on that epic course! 🤙
It really is. Course took a beating so a few repairs needed 🤦🏼♂️
Looks great! Hard to tell size of the thing on video. How big is it (wide, deep, tall)? Any plans to expand?
It's a good course♪
Not that it needs it but (and I forget the name of the company that makes them) but there's mini bushes and trees and stuff used for dioramas that would be the icing on the cake for this course. To add one more level of excellence.
awesome job! the way you painted the rocks is incredible....the addition of the sand too is outstanding....
