my (at the time) boyfriend introduced me to Harvest Moon, dtarting with Another Wonderful Life on the GameCube. we both played several other games in the series, and when he started his Let's Play channel, Harvest Moon 64 was the series to kick it all off. we were married by the time he started playing it, and I would sit in every so often and be featured in his videos. yesterday was the 11-year anniversary of his passing, and one of my fondest Harvest Moon memories is of him getting emotional and even crying as we recorded the last video in his HM64 series. it hadn't been the first time he'd played it, but he loved the game so much that he always got emotional at the ending. it wasn't the last video he published before his passing, far from it, but it was his favorite game and the Let's Play series he was the proudest of and most well-known for. I miss him and I think of him whenever I play a Harvest Moon or an Animal Crossing game.

I genuinely believe this game single handedly changed my entire perception of music. The melodies are all stuck in my head to this day, and i even remember all of thing minor details and subtle notes in the background. I was very lucky to have the chance to play this game. So many fond memories.
