These look great! Looking forward to giving them a try soon. Really well done, and thanks for the shout out :)
Thank you for the suggestion - I think theming the game is a big improvement. And looking forward to your game in the contest, too!
Hi Dante. I've seen your games in the BGG contests and noticed that you had Flipuzzle published by Button Shy. Firstly, congrats! Second, can I have a quick chat with you about the process, please? I'm considering submitting one of my own games. Thanks!
Thanks! I sent you a message through BGG.
I will need to give it a try. I agree the middle should just be always allowed. This looks great!
Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!
this looks incredible dude!
Thanks so much! A lot of work went into this little set of cards!
I really like it, and curious to see how it develops. I'm always a sucker for a good theme, so I would want to lean into that more. Like searching for Bigfoot, tracing his tracks or something. Lol
Thanks for watching and commenting! Tracking Bigfoot sounds like a fun theme - some more themes were suggested on the WIP thread. I'm not great with theming my games, but 'll definitely have a long think about it and hopefully I can come up with something that looks good and makes sense.
Dude this looks so interesting!
Thanks for the nice comment!
Some cool ideas with this one! I will leave feedback on the BGG WIP thread.
Thanks!
I’ve PNPd this and really enjoyed the little puzzle, thanks!
@@4theteam2006 Thank you so much! I'm happy that it could provide some entertainment!
New channel?!
No, is something different?
Great video! I like the updated rules. I gave it a try on PCIO and came within 1 card of winning. Really tight design that feels thematic to the Temperance cards use of cups and using the number 14. A great addition to your list of Tarot game designs. Love it!
Thanks for playing and commenting!
Really great game! I just tried it for the first time, and managed to just barely beat the game in the final round with only a single card in my hand left at the end. It was super tense and the final win came down to using the high priestess herself to modify an odd card.
@@JoannaPenaMusic Thank you so much for commenting! Sounds like a very satisfying win indeed - that's the kind of experience I hoped players would have with this game!
Interesting game, thanks for making a playthrough video. I like the theme of water between the cups, and tying in the number 14. I also really like the Temperance ability. Watching you play seems to make sense, then I try it and my brain freezes up. For some reason I keep getting confused about the flow of gameplay. I will need to revisit this one when I'm less sleep deprived, lol.
Thanks! I really need to make a rule book. It seems simple enough, but there are a lot of little rules you need to remember. I'm still tweaking things, so once I get the rulebook out there I'll probably make another video.
Thnx
Thanks for the support!
Not even once did i stop looking for new tarot solitaire lol cheers mate! Happy shuffling
I struggled to come up with anything for a while! This one may still need a bit of tweaking and I’m not sure about the theme, but I guess it works as a solitaire pretty well. Enjoy!
@@UberDanteGames ive found some cool solitaire books on google play, im still wondering if anyone has made a game out of tarot spreads like the grand tableau. i dont do readings, just playing games with the pack lol
Sadly the game was bought and taken out of the world. =/ Looked like a good onecard game...
Button Shy may make their versions available on PnP Arcade but for now you can get the original PnP here: drive.google.com/drive/folders/1_SRK7m-81dxLoV9GCZS0gCeZqvCP27Kc
Are you entering another contest? I wonder if theres games based on spreads
The Devil is eligible for the 2024 Solitaire contest so I was thinking about entering with that just to get some more feedback and maybe get some inspiration for another game. I haven't had much time to devote to new designs recently but I think the tarot spread idea might be a good starting point.
I wonder if tarot spreads could be turned into games.
That's an interesting idea. I don't know very much about Tarot spreads, but it would be cool to have a game that sets up like one. I'll try to look into it for sure!
@@UberDanteGamesgonna another contest?
Great overview and a really good design. I had a chance to play several games and had fun. Thanks for making videos like this, it makes games more digestible for me :)
Thanks for commenting! Glad to hear that you had fun with it. I'm also finding out that watching a video is usually easier than reading through a rule book. And for me making a video is definitely less time-consuining than writing a rule book!
id use DnD dice to track the numbers
I can see how that might be a good way to remember your totals. At the same time, the numbers are fluid, so a 5 could become a -5 or a 13 become a 3 later depending on what other cards come out and what you need.
Very helpful playthrough. This is an incredibly tight game, getting a win will feel earned for sure.
Thanks as always for the nice comments! Removing 3 or 4 random cards at the start, instead of 6, makes for a more forgiving game, but since the Lovers card is #6, that's what I went for. 😉
@@UberDanteGames Ahh, makes for a perfect choice then! Fortuitous!
This is a helpful playthrough, thanks!
Glad to hear it! Thanks for commenting!
Cheering for ya, id love to see more new tarot solitaire games like queens of fate and the fools journey and like dungeon solitaire.
Thanks for your encouragement as always! I don't have any immediate plans for more tarot solitaires but hopefully I'll be inspired again soon! Love the games you've mentioned!
Looks like a good game. It reminds me of "Habits." Curious if you've played that one and if you have thoughts on it? I haven't played it but I remember liking the logic puzzle, like this game, and the theme seemed to align with it pretty well. The variants look interesting, thanks for showing your games via video, it's my preferred way to learn :)
Thanks for commenting! Yeah, I played an earlier version of Habits and liked it a lot. I think the theming works really well and the card design is excellent. Even though the layout and goal of the two games is the same, the gameplay is really quite different.
A very clever idea. I'm not super big on word games, but I appreciate the creative design. Very cool.
Thanks! The 1-card contest always inspires me.
I call the devil card... The Jerk
😁
Wow! Pretty good set of puzzles on a single card. Reminds me of One Card Maze a little, but very unique and interesting.
Thanks!
Son of Klaus the designer of Catan? anyway, I have no tarot set, only the 22 cards (minor or major, dunno). So it wouldn't work.
Not son, but maybe distant relation? No idea, actually. Sounds like you only have the major arcana. You can substitute a Rook deck for the minor arcana if you have one. 11-14 would be Page, Knight, Queen, King. I've also set up a way to play digitally if you take a look at the BGG page or the work in progress thread link in the description. Thanks for checking it out anyway!
I really enjoy this game. The gameplay has a good puzzle feel but also elegant - fitting for the High Priestess. The design has some elements from Urbion but without the "jump scare" style chaos cards. Matches theme to mechanisms really well. Great design.
Thanks for the nice comments!
Great design. It has some elements of Onirim, but without the constant shuffling, which is awesome. The theme works really well - it has a classic feel which fits a game using tarot cards and good vs evil. The "deal with the Devil" option gives you some added choices with a push your luck element. I get confused about the "mini game" boss battle at the end, but it seems like a good idea to have that extra climactic battle.
Thanks! This is very good feedback.
This is such a fun design. I love the theme and the innovative mechanism of flipping to throw, and flipping to dodge. Wow! I love it.
Thanks! It was fun to design!
All of these original tarot games are just amazing-- I don't know how you do it!
Thank you! That's wonderful to hear!
can both sides of teh visitors have more than two minor arcana on the sides?
Yes, there's no limit to the number of cards on either side of the visitors.
Made a quick copy and tried it out. Super fun!
Thanks for commenting! Glad you liked it!
Thnx for the upload dawg
Hope you enjoy it!
Looks like a fascinating game but if you find it that tricky to solve. I think I'd be flipping for weeks.
Thanks for watching and commenting! I recommend trying the base puzzle SQUARES by itself which is not too challenging. The 5th Square expansion ups the difficulty quite a bit, yeah! From the series TRIANGLES and OCTAGONS are good ones to start with (easier and less cards to hold).
Ever played french tarot?
Sorry for the late response. No, I actually don't have a lot of experience with the tarot deck. I've only played a few other solitaires and didn't have a deck until just before designing this game.
I've searched high and low for new tarot solitaire games, I sub!
Thanks! I appreciate it!

Thanks!
This is great!
Thanks!
Fantastic game! Did you use a computer to calculate the card, or did you design it manually? It seems pretty mind-boggling.
Thanks for the nice comment. It was designed manually and making it was a pretty tricky puzzle in itself. I'm sure someone could write a program to make it, but that someone isn't me. I've made a couple of other versions since and they get easier to make with experience.
@@UberDanteGames Wow, that's really cool. Well done on a great game.
