NI's partner IngeniArs has incorporated their custom IP using Vivado into NI's Datalink Reference Architecture and leveraged NI's Vector Signal Transceiver as an RF front end to test and validate transmitters and receivers for CCSDS used in Satellite Communications. This is a presentation from Hunter Smith at JKI. He describes how to develop a LabVIEW application to meet the requirements of strict NASA regulations, including security requirements. Part of this requires static analysis in LabVIEW, so JKI created a toolkit that does this.

One key requirement in software security is maintaining a list of all software components in the system. NI is publishing SBOMs for our software to provide this list. SBOMs expose software vulnerabilities, so this presentation also discusses the challenges with managing vulnerabilities on a test system.

This is an update on what is driving the need for security in test systems, from a rise in malicious attacks to government mandates coming out. It describes the tension between IT teams enforcing security and test teams trying to get their work done.
