    Could you do a hood latch adjustment video? For the life of me I cannot set the proper height of the hood without it rattling. I think that is causing sound over rougher roads. But there is ALWAYS play in the hood latches no matter what position I set them at.

      Hey there, I have no clue how the hood latch adjustment works - heck, I don't even know where that would be adjusted ;) If it was for my car, I'd probably go to the garage to have them look at it, if it's causing noise on rougher roads. Drive safely!

      The covers are just decorative plastic, so the order doesn't matter. Where putting back the lugs in the star pattern is better to ensure a similar "pressure" all around.

    I just got finished installing mine, using this video as reference. I opted to route the rear camera cable down the left hand side of the vehicle, which required removing the bonnet release handle, which wasn't hard. I popped off all the panels that I could, which required releasing the rear bench. Everything just clipped back into place. The hardest part was routing the cable around the back of the airbag in the C pillar and then up through to the boot door. I managed it using very thin steel wire. Everything works great! Thanks for this reference.

      You're welcome. Once it's done, it's done... I'm about to sell my second P2, for which I installed another wired dashcam. I'm internally debating if I get the dashcam off, or try to upsell with the vendor. I'm figuring removing the cable must be a bit faster than mounting it (variations of pulling...), but if the buyer is interested (at the right price), it saves me and him some time...

      Hi there, fellow Belgian: no, the actual tire ("rubber") is the same, but the rim (the "metal") is slightly larger in the back. One way that I didn't mention while filming the video, but that I ended up using more the last time I changed back from winter wheels, is if you look at the "holes" in the rims: the holes are deeper for the back wheels than for the front wheels.

      I just made a quick video to show you: th-cam.com/video/vre-44SKcvw/w-d-xo.html Basically, you have to open the lid until it touches the back part of the glove box, when it's almost vertical, then you lift it upwards so that it gets out of its hinges, then you flip it back a bit towards the back and get it out horizontally. My 24' P2 did come with the lug cover remover tool, once I found them and figured out what it was for. I wouldn't call them plyers though, more like plastic tweezers. They pop off the caps with ease. I'd suggest ordering it as it will not scratch inside the wheel or damage the covers as screw drivers or any non plastic tool could do. Thanks for replying.

    Hi. I recently installed my dash cam, and your video was very helpful. However, I have to warn you that the part of the cable crossing the top of the A pillar, probably will get in the way of the side curtain airbag. After watching an NCAP crash test video, to see how the airbags inflate, I decided to place the cable behind the A pillar panel. To remove the panel you first have to pop out the dashboard side panel (the one with the passenger airbag on/off switch). Then pop out the small panel below the A pillar panel, and then remove the A pillar panel itself. Note that there is a screw behind the airbag plastic label, which has to be removed first. Now it is easy to install the cable and strip it to original cables, to ensure a safe cable route. I have a Polestar 2, 2024.

    • @jeroen8136
      @jeroen8136 ปีที่แล้ว

      First of, a big thanks the creator of this video. He gave me the inspiration to actually go for a front AND rear dashcam. The video gave me a lot of confidence and valuable information to start pulling the different panels in the car and how to wire the rear cam. Anyway, I am also using a Fitcamx and also had radio interference at some parts of my daily route (100 miles in total). This was not the case the week before I installed the dashcam. The radio antenna is at the back connected by a tiny wire to the back window (see timestamp 26:48). In my first attempt the rear cam cable was touching the antenna wire probably causing interference. Well, that is what I suspected back then. So, I made sure the wire to the rear cam is as far away from the antenna wire as I could. I am going to re-wire it so it will pass below the antenna cable in stead of over it. Then it will be even further away from the antenna (wire). I also attached a ferrite bead on the rear cam cable: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrite_bead to help further reduce interference. After all this the interference is gone. I have to admit I do not have a real point of reference, because I installed the dashcam within a week of the delivery of the car. At least on my daily route I can enjoy DAB+ without dropouts now. Also, I did not take the same route from the video for the cable to the rear camera. Well, yes most of it. I pulled the plastic cover at the passenger seat in the front, got the cable to the back seat. From here I pulled on the plastic cover right next to the backseat where the back right seatbelt is. This opens a huge compartment/space allowing me to get the cable to the back very easily. I then stepped in to the trunk of the car and pulled on the right-side panel (where in the plus package a speaker would be, in the non-plus version the speaker grill is still here). Once I got that loose (I did not remove it), it was way quite easy to grab the cable (watch your hands, a lot of sharp plastic pieces back here) from the back seat to continue via the rubber tube to the rear camera. I used a wire to pull the cable, just like the trick with the hanger, to get the cable to the rubber tube. I hope this helps.

    • @novajuiceev
      @novajuiceev 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks, but nothing really magical here. More grit and perseverance, and a good metal wire ;) No, no interference that I could detect (I pretty much never use the radio itself, the couple of times I played with it it seemed to work just fine - no other interferences with GPS or anything I'd know about)

      I don't think I remember wiping that part (I do remember wiping the front windshield with one of the provided alcohol wipes, though).

    The Citroën logo has changed considerably over the past few years losing its original helicoidal gear shape and becoming more of a 'double boomerang' (André Citroën will be turning in his grave...). However, the DS and the Polestar logos are pretty similar. Nevertheless, they are far from confusing (Ford and Land Rover have the same shape logo, albeit that the colours and scripts are different; for many years Chrysler vehicles carried the Chrysler pentastar, often as a penant on the bonnet - not all that different from the Mercedes three-pointed star, also carried as a bonnet pennant (indeed I have known people to be confused - especially with the badging of the 600 models). Of course, this last similarity made little difference when, in 1998, DaimlerBenz embarked on their DaimlerChrysler fiasco!!!

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. I'm thinking pretty much the same. Glad that lawsuit got dropped, though.

    This is a tragic move from Citroen, but fair play. The judge has clearly been “bought”.

      Lawsuit has been dropped when Polestar launched a separate lawsuit on wheels design. I guess "you take some, you get some"
