শান্তিপুর রাস উৎসব - Santipur Raas Festival
Santipur Ras Yatra is a significant Hindu festival celebrated with great fervor in Santipur, West Bengal. It is a traditional procession dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radha, showcasing vibrant cultural performances, devotional music, and elaborate decorations. The event attracts devotees from far and wide, seeking spiritual enlightenment and a glimpse of the divine. Santipur Ras Yatra holds a special place in the hearts of devotees, symbolizing the eternal love between Lord Krishna and Radha.
Even in Santipur, “Raas (Rash)” is the main festival, which is thought to have begun by Mathuresh Goswami, the great grandson of Advaita Acharya who was one of the main associates of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
