PHUKET | Drone at Karon Beach
April 28, 2024: We spent another day enjoying our time at Chanalai Hillside Resort and Karon Beach. We loved our restful stay here! The most interesting things that happened were betting on when our plate would be taken and finally flying our drone for the first time on the trip!

April 27, 2024: After checking out from Fishermen’s Harbour Urban Resort near Patong Beach and getting some lunch, we took a fun tuk tuk ride to our next hotel near Karon Beach, Chanalai Hillside Resort. This side of Phuket was much more our speed, with such a pretty walk to the beach!

Our Phuket beach vacation started with a very warm beach walk, followed by a suspenseful wait for our Vietnam e-visas, a pad thai dinner, and an evening swim.

A rainy Sunday in Korea started with an international church service. We then indulged in the amazing food that is Korean chicken, followed by a delicious waffle at an Ediya Coffeeshop. This subway station in Busan is so cool - it has hundreds of living plants! The day ended with a tour of the local fish market and more delicious street food - chicken, dumplings and hotteok.

We started the day with a Harry Potter themed coffee shop. We then failed to exactly find the mural street as we walked around on our way to karaoke. We got to sing and play Mario Kart for a full hour. The next stop was to one of the larger bookstores we’ve seen only to stumble upon a concert. Finally, we made our way to get Korean fried chicken!

Travel day! We finally ended our journey through Japan and left for a new country - South Korea! We made our way to KIX airport and enjoyed the ANA lounge before we took off. Upon arrival, we discovered how beautiful and modern the Korean airport is. Finally, our hotel in Seoul turned out to be one of the more unique designs up to this point.
Exploring Kyoto

Kyoto is made for exploring...and lots of walking! We were sure to see the big sights such as Fushimi Inari Shrine and the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and we also walked the pretty Philosopher’s Path.

Today we left Tokyo! After almost missing our bullet train, we arrived in Kyoto in time to catch a beautiful sunset at Kiyomizudera Temple. The next day, we got up early for a long morning walk as well as an informative walking tour, which then transitioned us into afternoon rest time and an evening exploratory search for dinner. We also hit one month of full-time travel!

If heat is an issue for you hit up the mountains of Chiang Mai (not during burning season) and you'll enjoy a slight variation in temp and so much beauty. Rent a motorbike if you're licensed and comfortable operating one and feel the breeze. Thailand is the greatest country on the planet.
