Nunchaku Level 1 Course 🎓 Walk Through
hey bud. i found your videos through the itak sword video. it's always good to see a practitioner learning and growing! I would reccomend tightening up your hip movement more arm range. there's alot of wasted space and movement currently that brought tighter could really improve momentum
Can you describe what you mean by tightening hip movement more. Do you mean feet starting closer? Or blading off the hips more at the end?
Keep up the great work! We appreciate you!
Glad you enjoyed it 🙏
This kali series is good. At least ill be able to teach myself to be ahead until a find a achool.
Awesome
Good video I might start doing this, but I'd rather do swimming exercise.its more enjoyable for me
Glad you liked it 👍 And just do what ever makes you happy and healthy
Nice 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Sensei
My sensei GMAU
Iv been using nun chucks since i was 12 im 57 now in the gym 3 times a day i still practice every Day i warm down with them after training.
Thank you! You look just like my son so it’s super fun to learn from you. 🥹🙏🏻💪🏼
Glad you enjoyed the class 💪
I bought a ratan bow and cut it in two, cheaper than the two sticks.
Amazing, Adam, I’m a second degree black belt, I’ve never did nunchucks before, I’ve Bruce Lee on The Way of the Dragon and Enter the Dragon nunchucks
Hey Roger, glad you enjoyed the class 💪 I hope to see you continue to learn this style
@ yes, I am, have you seen Bruce Lee, Jackie Chan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Superrrrrrrrrr❤
Love your kali
Thanks Rusty 🙏
Super Adams Gerrald for sharing ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hey, Adam! It's Evgeny! That's a super cool class for beginners starting to explore the way of double nunchaku handling! It was such a joy to come back to the foundations and basics of double chucks and recall myself starting to study these techniques nostalgically! So cool! Guys, if you read these comments, I gotta tell you that Adam is my teacher and I managed to pass through yellow, green, blue, and brown chevron\belt in American Style Nunchaku during the past year, and it was fantastic! Look no further to find yourself a better master and teacher of nunchaku techniques! Adam is the best! Join his skool community and you won't regret it! Promise you! Happy New Year to everybody! Adam, keep going, man! Wish you all the best from my heart from sunny Chile!
Hey Evgeny, thanks for all the kind words 🙏 glad you’d enjoyed the video reviewing the double chuks foundational material 💪
Love this video
🙏
Thank you. I just find this formidable series. One question: the dimensions of the stick?
The stick that I use is 28”x1”
Also, do you have an email contact for Skool I could send a question to? I can’t seem to find one on the website
Will your skool nunchaku eventually become as robust and in depth as your gmau offering? From this video it looks like there isn’t a lot offered for higher ranking
It will become immensely more in depth. Right now I already have more classes filmed for Skool than GMAU but I don’t have all of the levels completed yet. I film 2-3 classes for each of the 3 styles each week. For a contact to ask questions you can email adam@LetsTrainMartialArts.com
E-Tok. Nice review.
Is there a belt progression in your skool course? Roughly following the kukkiwon syllabus, etc ? Or is it set up differently?
Hey, yes there is a belt progression. There are 9 levels. I teach based on the Kukkiwon requirements for black belt but use my own syllabus as Kukkiwon doesn’t actually have a curriculum that’s left up to each individual master.
AWESOME THANKS 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it!
💪🥋👊🏽
Oh wait you really did Muay Thai. How about doing Pencak Silat? Ever done that before?
One of my kali instructors out in Virginia did it and he showed us a few things, but I didn’t study it much. Mostly just did some sarong stuff
Hey, you should teach MCMAP since you were a Marine Corps.
Honestly, you’re better off learning Krav Maga, MCMAP is just a (really) watered down version of it. The best thing that MCMAP teaches is team tactics. As far as the techniques go they work alright, the problem with MCMAP is how it is taught, they more just grabbed a bunch of random techniques and said “here’s a system” but there isn’t much connection between any. It is really just meant to quickly teach someone with no experience a few moves so hopefully they don’t die if they get into hand to hand combat.
@LetsTrainMartialArts Seems fair. I'll try learning it in GMAU.
@LetsTrainMartialArts Thanks!
they're all good picks XD no way to go wrong!
Awesome
First comment, yayyy. I'm 56 y.o. and taking up kali to stay active. Sticks arrive Thursday.
That’s awesome John, hope you enjoy all the training 💪
I'm nearly 66 and that was my motivation. You'll never look back, and Adam's Channel is tops :) Enjoy :)
Thanks Peter 🙏
The tornado kicks always look cool but beyond my reach as of yet x)
Just keep practicing, you’ll get there one day
Pěkná jóga 💪😉
I was able to do all the balancing front kicks without setting my foot on the floor this time!
Awesome job Sandra!
@@LetsTrainMartialArts thank you!
That is a filipino sword used for combat and fighting opponent
Yes it is
Tinsae
is this a yellow belt curriculum now?

Excellent advice 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I don't have a favorite but I do try this one sometimes : )
Thank you for your service and my life is going great.
Thank you 🙏 glad to hear it 💪💪
I have the last 2 down but am stuck on the 1st, any pointers man??
What part is the most difficult? The set up (hopping into the chamber position) or the execution?
How does this format differ from the other online offerings you are involved with - like GMAU?
On the Skool platform I offer 3 styles of martial arts all for the same price. I’m also going to have significantly more follow along classes than in GMAU. On Skool I have each course broken down into a set number of training weeks for each level and every week will have 3 follow along classes as well as specific techniques for that week. On GMAU it is a different style of nunchaku than on Skool and on GMAU there is only 8-12 follow along classes per level as well as each style must be payed for individually.
Okay but i had trauma doing Aerial. What happened was i tried doing Aerial without touching my hand and i manage to do it but the problem was my core and legs were very relax, as the outcome i hurt my leg and can't even walk normally, it's not broken or fractured but it' something else... I don't know but it was scary. Safety first!
I already learn them even i'm still at Green Stripe but they are fun honestly
HE ATE IT ❤❤❤❤❤
