The crazy thing is, if you carefully read Storm Eagle's bio, he doesn't seem the type who'd go maverick just on a whim. Makes one wonder what Sigma might have used against him, aside from position. Also, I can totally see Storm Eagle turning to violence in an effort to push X to safety while sacrificing himself. Since fighting Storm Eagle causes the airship to alter Spark Mandrill's stage, yeah. Next in the watch order should be Mandrill. As for the lyrics... at the end, when Eagle and X are arguing and Eagle is trying to force X out to safety, he tells X he'll bail before the crash... but the end... "These wings are weak and weary", followed by that final guitar chord suddenly cutting out... Drives it home that he doesn't bail out.

THIS IS SO FUCKING GOOD. i usually have more in-depth thoughts to type out but really with this one i'm just jamming. sure, it took a couple iterations (i thought both of the previous ones were good too to be fair, but this one is a chefs kiss through and through) but this is a really incredible cover after all's said and done!!!

Storm eagle and magma dragoon are the cool reploids people wouldn't mind bringing back to life as heroes

I'd like to imagine this is the reason that why his tornado attack doesn't hurt but only push away X. In the end, Storm Eagle shot X to drop him from the machine - all this feels so dramatic.

As one of the people who complained a bit about the first cover, damn the wait was really worth it, i personaly was expecting it to be just a bittersweet part of the "album", to be something there to learn from an oversight and just, move on. Tho i'm glad it was remade for this cover fuckin slaps, nice job!

Reposting my comment from an earlier version of this cover: Storm Eagle wants X off the ship, just like in the game where he uses his Storm Tornado. Just, not for the same reason. But it's so clever!

There is distinctly less engine noise guitar, which feels weird. There's still enough to get the sense of airplane engine noises, though. You nailed the distinct vocals, and this sounds great. Can't wait to see what happens with Sigma.

Booyah, it’s back and better than ever, while I’ll miss the V1 Storm Eagle vocals, the new ones are still distinct enough to tell apart from X’s vocals AND you can hear them over that screaming guitar, you have truly knocked it out of the park Kaze.

Was just listening to all the X covers earlier, so getting the final version of one of the best songs is a nice surprise.

Welp, this is it. After so much wait and two previous renditions that left a bittersweet taste in my mouth, here's your definitive cover of this song. And to say the truth, it was worth every friggin second of waiting. In fact, I would have gladly waited 2 more months if I knew it was going to turn up like this. The lyrics might be the same as before, but you can feel the polish the vocals have gone through to make them sound even better. Same thing goes with the instrumentals, which I can only describe as "smooth as butter", because they just flow so well with the lyrics that it brings me life! Specially compared to the previous versions, which weren't exactly bad, but compared to them this one pisses on both their graves. And from 3:13, that last minute right there pumps it into 101% or even more! The "before I hit the ground" fills me with energy! And those 4 last verses might not end in a literal high note, but metaforically those notes have gone through the gosh darn roof! Also, I want to give credit to the background violin (i think it's a violin, I'm not the best identifying instruments), because even though it's not the most noticeable adds to that smoothness I mentioned earlier. You are a legend my friend, I hope you know that. This is so well done and you deserve a lot more recognition than the one you get. And as the other person in the comments said, WE'RE SO BACK!

No puede resultar en nada diferente a mosca-ventana atrapada como una máquina programada para no poder elegir hacer ninguna otra cosa. Y "bienintencionada" no fue ninguna intención del programador en ningún momento. "La mosca programada para hacer lo mismo repetitivamente" es sólo un arma. Programada para atacar con hipócritas apariencias de todo lo contrario. La ventana representa una especie de "escudo invisible" que impide que el arma los mate a todos. Alguna mosca / arma por ahí, lleva más de 6 años intentando destruir "cierto escudo trasparente / invisible a sus ojos". Por lo que se deduce que, el escudo no ha podido atacar nunca a la mosca, y la mosca (alegórica) lleva en intención más de 6 años intentando destruirlo. ¿Para qué? Pregúntaselo a la mosca robótica programada para destruir escudos trasparentes que no hacen ningún daño a nadie. Porque no pueden. Porque un escudo que está quieto en un sitio NUNCA podrá hacer algo diferente a "proteger". Si la mosca robótica cansina lleva más de 6 años obsesionada con ese escudo trasparente, siendo que tiene todo el mundo y sus cosas para fijarse en ellas como hacemos las personas normales, pero 6 años de fijación obsesiva compulsiva con lo mismo. ¿Porqué será? Pregunteselo a la mosca. A ver quien la programó para ello. Al escudo / ventana no hace falta. No es una máquina. No es relevante. Sólo es "un objeto cualquiera" con el que se fascinó la mosca robótica para destruirlo, por lo que fuese, para llegar a lo que está detrás, y destruirlo también... probablemente... Cabe señalar que en esta fábula de la mosca y la ventana, la mosca estuvo EN EL EXTERIOR DE LA CASA EN TODO MOMENTO. La mosca nunca tuvo ninguna necesidad de entrar dentro de la casa rompiendo la ventana para sobrevivir. Dentro de la casa sólo hay un anciano y una tortuga. Que están viendo por la tele a unas chicas en bañador haciendo gimnasia. Pero la mosca los odia, por alguna misteriosa razón... ¿Porqué? Pregúntaselo a la mosca, yo estoy a cosas más divertidas, mirando chicas en bañador haciendo gimnasia por la TV.

These lyrics go so damn hard, though I feel like instead of zipping through them to match the melody of the theme, you could add a spin on the theme's pacing to have it hit harder. Like Concrete Heart, Farewell to Loneliness and Smooth as Honey for example c: (I say as you went off on Prayer for the Future). Then again, i'm not a musician, I just feel like somethin feels off and it might be the pacing being too fast to match the ost. Who knows, maybe you'll revisit it one day and i'll still be here waiting c:
