Complete trooper on some challenging terrain!

We're always happy to get people out for a ride. A good place to start is usually over on Claudie road. When are you typically available to ride?

Tons of good trails near Sussex for sure. Seems everyone has been working at having trails to play on and there are some real gems out there.

We were back there yesterday and I couldn't make it up Ivan. It's a fun challenge so long as you know when you're not going to make it and don't try to ghost ride the bike over the top. Easy spot to crush a pipe or crack a case if you flip the bike.

The reason the hill was named will be in the next video. Someone has a conniption. Its glorious hahahaha

XC is running great. So far no more issues with filters but I carry one with me. Sitting at about 112 hours now. The head and tune are very good, smooth and good power. The original first tune in the bike was pretty good, but that one gave the dash code if you hit the started when it was running. The second tune was the best, very meaty down low and hard hitting, I liked that one. The third factory tune...was underwhelming. Really took away power down low. Didn't like it at all so that got me onto the TSP set up.

TPI vs TBI or xc-w vs xc...that's a tough one. Both my bikes have WP 6500 forks. The xcw is a '19 MY and I have the PV turned out to near flush and it runs really strong. Chassis and suspension are more compliant so over a long day of hitting trails it probably won't wear you out as much. Also it has a fan so that's a bonus for the bike. That said I put three hours on the trails yesterday and I took the xc. I need to take them out and do a solid back to back on a variety of terrain.

Lol, the look on your face said it all. It happens and going back, possibly against the flow of oncoming bike is a bad idea, so forward makes sense until you regain the course. Honest mistake and easily done with the broken tape and a beaten in line that looks correct.

Hahaha, you're right I didn't get raise flag, didn't even pick up on that. I'd better come with a box of Timbits before the next race lol. Timing and scoring is tough and I really appreciate the volunteers that step up to record every bike. On a short course like this it must have been challenging for sure and the young guy was doing a great job.

Maybe hang a pool noodle off the tree on the left to easy people to the right? haha. Bridges were all solid for sure!

I was annoyed with myself and trying to put a charge on.

Really is a fun trail system, you can just flow through. We have one area like that but most are more technical.

So many good bikes out there now, the KTM/Husky/Gas Gas, lines, Beta, Sherco, Yamaha and TM for the two strokes, it's hard to go wrong with choosing a bike. The differences in ergonomics, suspension and motor feel mean there is something for everyone's taste. I've been accused of drinking the orange koolaid and I guess that is true lol. I do love my xc-w!

Just make sure you are careful with removing the original gaskets as you will reuse them. It is a pretty straight forward to replace the catalytic with a mid pipe. I haven't had any issues.

@@berktektas4018 Hey no problem, happy to answer questions. No remap needed. Undo the clamps, couple of bolts and wiggle the cat out, make sure you have the gaskets, they appear to be some sort of soft metal so if they don't just come off when you pull the cat, just carefully work them off with a flat head screwdriver. I think I followed this vid: th-cam.com/video/tL3kPZ1-QA0/w-d-xo.html. I didn't have a wheel stand so just leaned the handle bar against the wall (leave the bike in gear so it doesn't roll inadvertently).

A ton of good trails in this area, many have some pretty significant elevation changes. This is near Welsford, NB.

We're definitely fortunate, some areas are seasonally pretty muddy so we skip those until summer.

Hey I really appreciate that, thank you! Suffering this year a bit but mostly because I've been out of the gym and lost my routine. Working at it now as there are some big races and I want to be able to push harder.

Yeah love it! I've made a few changes. Mine is a '23 model and came with air forks. I didn't know anything about air forks and having WP 6500s on my xcw and loving them I immediately added WP 6500s. Next was the tune. The first tune in this bike was good but had the issue of giving a blink code if you accidentally hit the start button when the bike was running. The next factory tune was amazing, big low end power hit (I liked it) but the next factory update moved the power hit to the mid and up range and I didn't like that. So I put on a TSP head and tune and it's awesome. As for gearing I changed that up when it was time to replace the drive. I think stock is 14/45. I'm at 13/50 now. I don't need flat out speed. No fly wheel weights, this thing will lug way way down in the rpm. I hear the suspension on the 24s (forks) are really good and are very similar to the WP 6500s and I've been watching too many videos on the new 25s and the frame updates.... lol

Never been there, closest we came was a trip to Baja a couple years ago. That was on a GSA so not doing a lot of hot dogging in the desert lol. My buddy has a good eye for picking lines to burn in for turn tracks. I'd like if this one was bigger so we could run laps for 30 min motos to get a good flow moving around on the bike and a work out to boot.
