    Wrong wrong wrong. Stok has a video on how to do this.. th-cam.com/video/FlwUV_TqcZw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=n8eK4yorBEtz7U8Y Same as converting to natural gas so much easier than removing whole side and back. Sat in a walker and did this.

      Very observant, definitely a different process. They’re different because my igniter’s are connected with a screw to the front plate, as I mentioned. Your video shows the igniter is connected directly to the tube. I’m glad you had an easier time then I did.

    Hi Jeff. Thanks for this. I got the sides shelves off and the front control panel disconnected. How do you disconnect the igniter wirers from the control panel?

    • @jtousch1
      @jtousch1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They should just pull off from the back side of the push button igniter. They might be stiff so just wiggle a bit to break the bond.

I would recommend calling and see what they can do for you. The STOK warranty process is handled through the STOK customer service phone staff at 1-800-847-5993, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. EST, and Saturday and Sunday between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST.

    What other chemicals do you use in pool?

    • @jtousch1
      @jtousch1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Baking Soda (PH +) and Muriatic Acid (PH -). Cyanuric acid to stabilize the chlorine and Twenty Mule Team Borax to stabilize alkalinity and as a pH buffer. Reference the BBB Method online and check out www.troublefreepool.com/blog/pool-school/

    Can you explain the benefits that liquid chlorine has vs. using chlorine pucks? People ask me but I forget the chemistry.

    • @jtousch1
      @jtousch1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The No. 1 benefit, for me, is liquid chlorine doesn't have Cyanuric acid (CYA) in it. Chlorine pucks use CYA as a stabilizer in them, which just happens to be what turns hair green and also brittle. No.2 is cost and availability of liquid chlorine. I currently pay $12.99 for 12% 5 gallon carboys. No. 3 is ease of use, especially with an automated system.

    More about the cabin: the beds are six feet in the air, not much floor space, plastic covered mattresses. Also at park: the one pool was closed and the large pool was freezing cold. There’s several other options there: bigger cabins, hotel, the motel had campfire area too. I won’t be in this cabin again.

    Excellent idea even 6 years later. I have modified your process to this: First, I followed your instructions for the first filter. Second, I took that and laid it out on a piece of box cardboard, traced that out with a marking pen and, carefully, cut out the cardboard circle with a SHARP utility knife. Third, using this as a firm template, took a week's supply of filters (WALMART), centered them together and placed the cardboard template in the center and and traced out a circle on the top one. Removed the cardboard template and, using a sharp, new pair of scissors, cut out the week's supply of filters all at once. Then, I followed the remainder of your instructions. Thank you for this inspiration.
