My 2005 land cruiser 4.0L V6 petrol has 183,000 miles and is still going strong. I drove it to the south of Turkey last year and I honestly never would have done that trip had I not owned this car. Sad that toyota stopped bringing this engine to the UK i wish I could buy a newer one of these V6s but I can't sadly because they aren't available anymore. Why did they stop bringing them i have no idea, someone let me know below because I have been eager to know since forever.

I’ve also got a Rio (2013 1.2), it’s easy to think these engines are making unwanted tapping sounds, but after watching multiple videos… They all sound the same. The engines sound bad, almost like a high pitched bell… But mine has been super reliable from day one, even after using it extensively for food deliveries.

Reference your comment concerning ‘top of the range’ - this unit was by no means top of the range back then, it would probably have ranked among the cheaper examples of its type. Quite a funky cabinet though - would have taken pride of place in the ‘lounge’ with a couple of Mum’s porcelain nick-nacks strategically placed on top. Personally I would remove the innards and replace with the latest tech…but that’s a whole different story.

I think the stay is meant to be inserted in the yellow highlighted hole in the interior bodywork. Otherwise you may have the accident I had. It shows it in the manual.
