      Good question ! Yes I did but: it was after I filmed the video; the flames were a little yellow so I ended up opening the shuttles just a bit to add air which produced a nice blue flame. I'm pretty sure that every time I've done a conversion I've had to adjust the shuttles.

    I am just curious that if brake booster is not good condition like vacuum leak all something, this could trigger on ABS light as well on discovery 2?

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach หลายเดือนก่อน

      After the light goes out please post up again and let us know what the problem was or if it just went out by itself. I'm also going to add my reply to your other question here as they are both related. Answering the question about the brake booster: yes because a malfunctioning brake booster can produce erratic brake pressure which could trigger an ABS warning light. I'm not saying that's the problem but theoretically in any car this could happen. Now Answering your question from the other post Describing how you replaced the wheel sensors and the Shuttle valve and One of the three amigos: The ABS light remained illuminated. Here's my reply copied and pasted: Several times after working on computer related issues I've had the ABS light come on and stay on until I drove it for a while and then it would go out and stay out. What I believe was happening was: The computer needed to register data from all the ABS related sensors which takes a while. Occasionally it will come on and then go out again with No Error codes to be found. One time it stayed on after driving through a lot of mud, I cleaned the wheel sensors and the problem went away. I seem to recall that after doing the shuttle valve bypass the ABS light stayed on for awhile until I drove it for a day or two. (end copy) Two things I have to add: If you're going out in the middle of nowhere and in rough terrain bring a device with you that's able to reset the ABS section of your computer Including the three Amigos. Otherwise you Traction control will not function'; It's like having one wheel drive that left me stranded on a steep hill in the middle of the night (I had to get pulled out Luckily I wasn't alone). The other thing is: If you don't already have a way to activate your center differential lock and the mechanism is present with no linkage, consider adding the linkage; It would have saved me that night if nobody was around. I started to take my center console apart to install CDL linkage and started to worry that something was going to break and I would have to get more replacement parts, So I simply drilled a hole and used a socket extension and a couple of nuts for a linkage. I'm not saying it was a good idea but it works Is really easy. I made a video about it titled Homemade CDL linkage which you can find here Just use it as a starting point maybe Drill the hole up higher and use a longer extension or something. In retrospect I wish I would have drilled the hole a little higher to make it easier to access and think about some kind of seal. I had purchased a grommet to install but it got in the way during installation and I left it out which is not a problem for me since I don't drive through deep water I asked my door opening, Good luck let us know how it goes: th-cam.com/video/rO2lUHMuSY0/w-d-xo.html

    what do i do if my new waterpump is installed but now the old pulley rubs on the crank pulley? was new pump built a little off or was i supposed to wedge something in between the two pulleys while installing so any slop in the mounting bolts wouldnt let pump sag into the crank pulley? do you get what im saying? everything seems to fit perfectly but not the 2 pulleys are too close and rub? makes a horrible noise and would take days or weeks to clearance itself if i left it, lol

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I understand what you're saying but my answer is going to be a shot in the dark: As you suspect the pump could be manufactured improperly With the hole for the shaft angled down slightly or the Water pump housing housing warped or something like that. I've seen cases where parts will bind at the bolt holes Because the piece is going on at a slight angle; In other words: A part will seem like it's tight but it's just cocked sideways and binding at the bolt holes on the bolts Something I've had happen with an exhaust manifold, The solution in that case was I loosened all the bolts and kind of wiggled the exhaust manifold and pushed it in until it set flat against the block and then re- torqued the bolts. As to your question of having to hold the water pump in alignment while tightening the bolts: No that is not a thing it should just go on straight. That really stinks you've got all back together I know some water pumps are just about impossible to get to and you have to take half the engine apart to reach it, I can see why you're considering letting it wear itself down! : ) Good luck I hope you find an easy fix!... I thought of one more thing: Sometimes and I've had this happen Sometimes: The outside edge of the new water pump housing won't be machined properly and it will push against another part throwing the alignment off. One time I had to grind the edge off my water pump to get it to sit flat; I'm talking about the outside edge that doesn't contact the block: The rough casting area on the side not the flat smooth surface.

Thanks for getting back to me, that's a good trick you came up with; I did something similar with my spare tire: I got larger tires and the spare tire was now hitting my bumper, I was able to wedge something in between the bumper and the tire and then tighten the spare tire bracket down and it gave me just enough room to close the back door without having to redrill the bolt holes. I can’t control the flame after swapping out the orifices and regulator hose. Converted NG to LP. What can I do?

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good morning Falconisko, If I'm reading that right you're converting from natural gas to liquid propane and you can't control the flame. In a natural gas setup there is no regulator used, So when you go from low pressure natural gas to liquid propane which is a high pressure besides using a smaller orifice you need the correct pressure regulator. So that's the first thing to check. Some propane devices (Like a high btu Burner) use a high pressure regulator instead of the normal low pressure propane regulator so they may have sold you a high pressure regulator by mistake. The only other thing I can think of is: The salesman wasn't paying attention and Accidentally sold you another set of natural gas orifices since normally people convert from propane to natural gas instead of the other way around. Look at the label On your barbecue that tells you how many BTU Each burner it's supposed to be, Then look on the Internet to find a chart that tells you what size orifice you need for propane And or natural gas and double check and make sure you have the right size orifice for propane. I think propane barbecues require two pounds of pressure and natural gas barbecues work off less than half a pound of pressure. If the pressure regulator you have is green it's probably the wrong one; Those regulators are high pressure and used for Fryers and stuff like that. Good luck

    Update: Although initially this sprocket worked better it's wearing out quickly, the narrow teeth are paper thin now and about ready to snap off at the tips. It appears to be made out of Chinesesium the alloy created when you melt all recyclables (Paper, cardboard, glass, Plastic, tin and aluminum) together. This alloy Changes directly from a solid to a gas when it starts to corrode! I hope Lekkie Is still in business' Because as soon as this thing falls apart I'm going to cough up the bucks and buy the real deal! It was worth a shot but I think in the end the Lekkis Is a better deal since it lasted probably 5 times as long and who knows what this thing is doing to my chain! I know what you're thinking: how many miles did I get out of it? Unfortunately I didn't record my starting mileage. There's an old saying: Sometimes the cheap is expensive.

      Hi Peter, I'm assuming you live near Gorman; If that's the case: The Hungry Valley off road park is a great place to start: All the trails are marked by degree of difficulty similar to what you would see at a ski resort, the ones Mark Black Diamond being the most difficult. It's only $5 per day and well worth it since the trails are well maintained and they give you a map explaining the signage that's posted at all the trailheads. The first place you want to go is the 4 x 4 practice area. After that I would say (Just off the top of my head) Rattler trail and Sterling Canyon are good for beginners. Come to think of it I made a video titled My daughter's first time behind the wheel (Or something like that) You can find it on my channel and take a look through the dash cam at the 4 by 4 practice area. You'll see the 4 by 4 practice area and then we proceed to Rattler Trail but all in fast motion. At the time my daughter was 30 years old and had been riding along all her life so some of the things she does in that video actually scared the heck out but she consider them normal since she's seen me do them all her life. I sound very calm in that video but I wasn't especially when she decided she was going to drive down the wall which is something few people do. In other words don't try this at home but at least you can see the practice area and Rattler trail so you know what I'm talking about.

      @CFRoach 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I purchased it on eBay. The seller is: lanfyshop. The current price is:$38.91 shipping price is $16.99 from China. They have what I consider a low customer satisfaction rate 95% (I don't like to go below 97%) but I rolled the dice anyway since I paid for it with PayPal I knew I could get my money back if anything went wrong. The exact listing title is: "Replace Electric Bicycle Ebike 42T Chain Ring Offset Correction For Bafang BBSHD" I ordered it on January 3rd and it was delivered to Los Angeles CA on January 19th total price paid with shipping was $49.60 the item number for the red colored 42 tooth shows as 204540692303 which does not appear in the description but was on the receipt.

    The fake ultra fire battery came installed in a flashlight I ordered online. My buddy came across a 18650 battery that wouldn't fit in his battery charger, I told him about the fakes, He decided to take it apart; we couldn't believe what we found inside: 3 quadruple "A" batteries (AAAA Batteries) Solder together with flimsy wire stuffed into a 18650 case, That was the worst One I saw and the only time I saw that configuration. I cut Another fake open and didn't find the same thing it was just a poorly made copy of a name brand battery.

  • @CFRoach
    @CFRoach 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The copy works better than the original: That .015 inch difference in the offset Is noticeable: The bike shifts smoother and there's less chain noise. I'm definitely glad I rolled the dice on this one.

      (I'm replying to myself) I change my mind: I'm definitely not glad I rolled the dice: It may be a third of the price of the Lekkie but it only lasted a third as long as the Lekkie. But you don't know until you try! My recommendation is to cough up the Bucks and get the real deal.

      I got that "pie" thing from a buddy of mine. He'd be working on something and say: " Easy as pie right?" If someone said: "yeah" he would get a disgruntled look on his face, get in their face and yell: " PIE ISN'T EASY!" We would crack up every time!

    Reckon gas fumes don't matter around a heated, glowing coil of heat gun?

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Good point. I should have added : Don't get the hose above 536 degrees (The flashpoint of gasoline) and definitely don't turn your heat gun on around gas fumes. Also I should have added: don't try this at home! I'm going put this in the description thank you pointing that out.

    • @FriggOff361

      The vapour can pass directly over the coils lol

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That might be a fun video! I would try it but I'm worried I will fry my expensive heat gun. I almost want to go down to harbor freight and pick up one of the cheap heat guns and try it. I'm wondering if it would turn into a flamethrower or if nothing would happen? I'm guessing flamethrower.@@FriggOff361

    • @turtlem-ht1fv
      @turtlem-ht1fv 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There is little chance of the vapor catching fire since the fan on the heat gun is blowing it away from the heat source.

    • @CFRoach

      I thought I invented it. But maybe not. I had never seen anybody do it this way but: Caleblancaster5471 Above said she's usually uses a zippo lighter but she could see how this would work. I better give her the credit I don't wanna get sued : )

    Ill give it to ya thats handy. But as cheap as hose is just cut and replace it if ya can.

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I used to do that too, It works well but: hose isn't as cheap as I am. I don't run a repair shop anymore so I don't have rolls of hose laying around. I would actually have to get in my car and drive somewhere to purchase hose which would also take away from my time I set aside for sitting around eating cheese puffs : )

    my bmw is the most polite car on the road unless you're going the speed limit but yes i do use my turn signals

    • @CFRoach
      @CFRoach ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not a turn signal, it's just your emergency flashers malfunctioning, BMW's don't come with turn signals, they only come with emergency flashers which allow their drivers to park anywhere they choose, like: The middle of the road, blocking people in, Red zones, Handicap zones, Bus stops, literally anywhere! If only one side is flashing you have a burned out bulb. Quit using your emergency flashers until you get it fixed, you could lose your BMW license if somebody thinks you installed turn signals and are using them!

    Perform this step with the battery disconnected ! This step / fix only applies to shuttle valve switch bypass methods in which the shuttle valve switch remains connected to the internal wiring of the hydraulic control block. If you are isolating the shuttle valve switch from the hydraulic control block this method may not apply but is still a good step to use anyway just to ensure there are no direct to ground shorts after reassembly IE: Zero resistance to ground.
