Hello, I have a problem, after changing the water pump of my engine (Evinrude 8cv 2 stroke year 1987) I put the base back in place and the forward/reverse selector does absolutely nothing, still on neutral point... I tried rotating the driveshaft several times to different positions, but the selector still does not work. What is my problem, if you can help me as you have done several times before. Thank you. Is that plate supposed to be water tight where it meets the top flat surface of the lower unit? I just did a complete kit with new plate, and tested it the same way you did in a tank of water with a drill. Water flows OK through the copper tube but also shoots out under the plate on the rear. Also from the little hole in the side of the housing. Is this normal?

Hello, I am encountering another problem on my Evinrude 8HP 2Strokes, I want to change the water pump, so I remove the base bolts, the two at the bottom and the two located higher up on the base extension on the sides (it's a long shaft) and I want to loosen the big bolt on the top of the base and it's stuck, I took it out three centimeters, it's still just as hard to dismantle. I'm afraid of breaking it. What to do? Sorry for always asking for your knowledge. Thank you so much .

Ok you will save my dirt bike & 10,000 others if you explain , how a dirty/faulty stator or unchecked valve clearance - causes 50% loss of power :( wheelies impossible ;( in a yz 426 running like crap 4 years. And last quick question for hardest part of stator removal Taking the stator nut off ;( should I put skrewdriver on cam teeth so it won’t turn engine backwards? Or in gear with a stick in spokes ;(

Just saw this car at the Museum in Prague, and the pictures don't do it justice! It's very, very pretty despite looking quite aged. It's always nice to see small sports cars with small engines, and this one is no exception! Thank you for posting this video, it's fascinating! I wonder what it would've been like to drive? I suspect it has very modern driving charasteristics for it's age.

I have 9.9 Evinrude but have no parts for it need an impella and plug cord starter power coil and wires

SUBSTITUTE with VEGETABLE OIL if you don't have any WD-40 on hand. I just did and it worked just as good.

Could you tell me what fuel line connector is used on the engine side? I bought a Johnson connector but it won't fit on there's a tab beside the locking pin in the way thanks
