Are the Boat Engines Locked? They might be a complete loss
มุมมอง 7068 วันที่ผ่านมา
We measure and come up with ideas for a new canvas or possibly solar top for the 440 Express Bridge. We look into the engines on the "baby SeaRay" to see if they are locked and if they are a complete loss. We also show a quick glimpse of our Christmas shenanigans.
Complete loss is what we are thinking for our canvas on the boat
มุมมอง 22115 วันที่ผ่านมา
It has been excessively windy in Connecticut this year and the wind damaged our boat canvas. We also finish winterizing the engines since we didn't get to do it when the boat was being pulled. Let's hope we winterized them in time and there are no issues next year. Did we wait too long to pull our boat? We hope we didn't screw up and keep it in too long.
We got stuck in the boat lift in our boat. Watch and see how...
มุมมอง 44822 วันที่ผ่านมา
We moved the boat for the winter season and it's bittersweet. We have some projects to do, but we don't like that we can't boat all year in Connecticut. We will also give you a mini tour of our neighborhood in Clinton, CT from the water. It's a cute neighborhood with restaurants and marinas. Very New England... Then, wait until you see at the end when we get stuck on the boat on the boat lift. ...

Winterizing the boat for the winter season before a cold front moves in.

Winterizing our Searay 440 Express Bridge to store for the winter in CT. Will we get it done in time before a cold front moves in. It's a sad time for us, but we have some projects to work on over the winter.
Did we make a mistake by leaving our boat in the water so late?
มุมมอง 169หลายเดือนก่อน
The CT Weather went from 50 to 20 like it saw a State Trooper. See how the weather makes decisions for our dinghy and boat this week. You never know what is coming even with looking at the forcasts. Hopefully we didn't make a huge mistake by keeping the boat in so late into the cold weather. Waxth as we figure out the best move for the boat so we don't risk freezing our blocks and plumbing.

How we save money at West Marine. Also, come along for another boat ride with us and our dog.
มุมมอง 2282 หลายเดือนก่อน
We let you in on a little secret about how we save a ton of money at West Marine. We dressed up for Halloween. You're not going to believe how many trick or treaters we got. It's crazy. ! We also make a mess on board the boat for a project. Wait until you see what it is. We then take Trooper on another boat ride. See how he does this time around.
Wait for it... Sit on that tail. Anyone else's cat pin down their tail? #crazykitty #tailchase

We kidnapped Chris's parents and we have an update on the other SeaRay

We kidnapped Chris's parents for a day on the boat. The fall foliage was just starting to show and it's beautiful on the Connecticut river. We also provide an update to the other SeaRay and the status on the repairs from the damage Boats US did. You're not going to beleive what happened when we had Seatow tow the boat.
Hello both! I own a boat and i can fully relate to what you are saying. But.......your statement at the end is so true! Don't be sorry not having ownend a boat and go for it 😅👍🏻
Thanks for sharing!
We must watch all the same channels! 😊
Possibly!
Preaching to the choir girl!! A....it's Expensive B.... You better be handy!!! 😂😂😂😂
Ha ha!
Nice! Enjoy!
Ty!
Really unfortunate, but that is why the canvas always has to come off when the boat is on the hard for the winter! part of winterizing the boat. In the end its just canvas, expensive canvas , but it can be replaced
Yeah, you are right, and we are not looking forward to the cost! This happened right after the boat was pulled.
Winter months…canvas off, shrink wrap on.
We didn't have time to take the canvas off as it was damaged the day after it was pulled.
That really stinks! Hi Jane!!
Yeah, it does.
Glad you put the fireworks in here! Nice to see it after hearing about it! Really enjoying your channel. Good work, guys!
Thank you! We appreciate it!
Great boat! Wow, the storage! Plenty of room for me to stow away! Lol Why the name " Another Chance"?
Ty! Our last boat was a nightmare. Of you watch our first video, you'll see.
And, HEY...what about Coffee Break! Lol
Of course, that's his favorite breakfast restaurant!
@@oursaltytails I did notice that Chris made sure to grab his coffee! Lol
Glad to finally see this boat Chris is talking about! She's a beauty! Best wishes to both of you for many happy trips in sunny, warm weather!
Thank you so much! We appreciate it.
Hopefully the marina personal treated the haul-out with care. Did they power wash the bottom?
They sure did!
Love this!!!!
Thank you! ❤
This is so cool! My wife and I purchased a 1995 440 Express Bridge only a few months ago and we absolutely love it. Ours is so very similar to yours. Thanks for the tour and happy boating to both of you!
Awesome! Glad you found your dream boat.
Merry Christmas! 🥂
Same to you!

Amazing boat .
Thank you!
All the boat you need. She’s a beauty. Thanks for the tour.👍
For sure!
Nice boat, enjoy!
Thank you!

Installing a generator is fall less expensive than a battery solar bank large enough to power. I installed a 7.3 for less that $7k in my Silverton 34C. runs anything/everything all day and night. Noise is minimal if installed right.
Where the heck did you find a genny that cheap? If it's that cheap, we may consider it. We really don't want to lose the room in the engine room.
Enjoyed your video! Boat life as it is 👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it!
Retro Run Dmc !
lol!
Giving those transmissions quite the workout! Didn’t look too tight to steer with the wheel.
We'll have to do better next time!
Looks very nice from the inside but it would have been good to also see the exterior including a profile view from bow and sides.
It is hard at the boat shows since the boats are packed into their slips. You can go to their website and see more about it. :)
Saltwater and lithium batteries don’t mix. Look it up. Can’t get wet, So be careful where you put them.
Salt water doesn't mix with many things on a boat. They would go in a waterproof battery box.
You're incorrect on WHY you can't put lithium fires out. They create their own oxygen. All other fires need oxygen and extinguisher systems eliminate the oxygen. Lithium fire starts, fire departments wet the area AROUND the fire and wait for the lithium to burn itself out. 20 miles from Rivian factory, 3 fires. I'm a sprinkler contractor. Not saying lithium isn't your guy, but I wanted you to know the reason they burn and cannot be extinguished. If the fire starts it will continue even after the boat is underwater.
Thanks for the additional info!
The railroad bridge between Old Saybrook and Old Lyme, they are building a new one over the next few years. Also agreed on the fuel dock, always good kids working there, super helpful and friendly.
I wasn't aware they were building a new one. I hope it still has this much character.
Omg. Stop clowning around. You’ll never get 20 year old gel coat to perfectly match. You’re really going to trash and sue the two tow companies in your area? Good luck getting home next time you need it. At this point will anyone work on that boat? Get the engines pulled and professionally fixed. Then sell the boat. Good luck.
Beautiful!
For sure!
First one here? Cute video. Might make a soccer edit with this sound lol
We are glad you liked it!
What kind of firstmate tells the captain what he should do,,those are in my way,😂😂😂
We even sure what you are referring to, but we work as a team very well.
@@oursaltytails I'm sure y'all do but when leaving or docking maybe it would be prudent to put the camera down.
Thanks for your insight.
Were did you get that ramp off your boat to the dock. ? .you should show how it works on your next video.
It came with the boat but we had to modify it for our docking situation. We can totally talk about it and show how it was made. We love it!!
Definitely awesome !
Sure is!
I thought you did a great job Cindy. You do what you can with what you have. It is nice to see you helping to get your boat ready for the Loop
Thank you!
Should have used connectors with heat shrink
We do when we wire anything that is located outside. On the inside, this works perfectly.
To crimp wires use the tip of the crimper for more leverage. It’s color coded for the correct gauge wires.
Yes, but Cindy has absolutely no strength in her hands to squeeze it. She has to use leverage, ha!

It looked like a fun trip to the mooring field! Congrats on Another Chance !
Yes! Thank you!
dog approved !
For sure!
First mate should put down the camera and help for safety reason for both you and your boat.
Well, ty for your insightful comment.
Привет сделай пожалуйста обзор на вашу лодку с техническими подробностями
Sorry, we only speak English but through google translate it looks like you want a tour with technical included. It will be coming soon!
Thanks

Absolutely, we used force and they finally came out.
