Sometimes funk is so stank that it makes you cringe in a good way. It's a phenomenon of Jazz and Blues particularly.
Hey brother - so I play the keys and I've never transcribed before. I play and recognize chords super well and can read treble clef, but I'd like to start really learning this instrument. How would you recommend beginning transcription?
Start with something you love! Play along and learn. Don't start with something that's overly complicated. Pick a simple solo that you enjoy and learn it by ear. Then you'll start to adopt some of that material into your playing.
I mean this in the best possible way, you look like if Ryan Reynolds was actually hot Also, amazing solo, I've never been so jealous at someone's skills quite as much

Just got back into playing my sax after a year or more of not playing and I remember this channel and I’m lowkey glad you still upload cause your improv and overall way you play is just so satisfying to my ears 😂. Scales are "tools" to express what you feel beyond words.Jazz is the expression of a culture in the United States, born from hardship and people who never adapted but improvised their way through this land. When I listen to him I hear a young guy with no life experience and nothing so say so its just scales.
